About this house rental
Nestled in Newport, this lovely house for $408 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This 1500 sq house with a first floor open living two bathroom house is centrally located in Downtown Newport. The property is steps off Thames St. in the thriving downtown/waterfront area where its lined on each side with countless bars, restaurants, shops and historic homes. The downstairs is an open-concept kitchen/dining room/living room /sun room. Downstairs has multiple seating areas for entertaining or to chill out it also has a full bathroom and Laundry room/mudroom. Upstairs has one full bathroom and bedrooms each with good size closets and flat screen TV's in each bedroom. Bedrooms have a queen bed in each room and one bedroom has a twin and a full bed. The house is ideal for families, couples or groups looking for a in town location that you can park your cars and be a walking distance to all downtown Newport has to offer. Easton Beach (1st Beach) & the Cliff Walk are also a walking distance approx. 20-25 mins. (Driving 6 mins.), Sachuest Beach (2nd Beach) (Driving 12 mins) & the Mansions on Bellevue Ave are approx. 15 - 20 mins walking distance depending on which one you want to visit (Driving 5 mins). Water Shuttle can be accessed walking distance 8 mins. from the house which offers a hop on - hop off service and you can explore the harbor and visit some of the amazing sights such as Fort Adam. Golf Course (Newport National Golf Club) is about 7 miles always (Driving 16 mins). The house comes with all the amenities, WIFI, cable TV, a fully equipped kitchen, central A/C and off street parking for 4 cars. Minimum of 3 night stay during the month of July & August. 2 Night minimum stay during the other months.

Four older women had a great time staying here. The home was very clean and nicely updated. Nice restaurants within easy walking distance. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms/ shower stalls are small but very functional, the bathrooms could use some storage for travel toiletry kit. The bedrooms also lacked dressers/space for clothes/stuff. These few things are really nothing when you consider the great location and cleanliness. Contact person responded to emails immediately and that was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a great week, would stay again in a heartbeat!

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this lovely renovated property. We could walk everywhere but it was also very easy to take the car out since the property includes parking. It was a nice touch to have linens & towels provided and there were even travel-sized amenities in the bathrooms. We experienced an unfortunate snafu at check-in but the owner & property manager were both responsive and got it resolved as quickly as they could. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A much needed recharge after my daughter's wedding at the Ocean Cliff. Exactly as advertised. Recently renovated/clean with simple updates. 1st floor has kitchen and family room with full bath. The second floor has 3 beds with full bath. Awesome location with ample off-road parking!! Within walking distance to everything. Small negatives: Both bathrooms a little small but manageable. Bedrooms have no bureaus to unpack.

The house was in a perfect location to walk and bike anywhere in Newport. Right in the heart of town, near great restaurants and shops and the harbor, just off Thames on a quiet side street. The space was beautiful and super clean with nice beach decor and plenty of room for our family of 4 to stay in our own space and visit the rest of our family close by. Beds were comfortable and well laid out. Kitchen was well equipped for making meals and bringing in takeout for a quiet time. The owner was responsive and answered our questions ahead of arrival. Check in was super easy. Parking area was spacious and we had room to store 3 bikes. We hope to stay here again when we are in the area. Thank you for the wonderful home away from home!

This was the perfect location and plenty of room. The house seemed to be renovated recently and the space was perfect. 3 good size bedrooms and 2 full baths. We were very comfortable here and loved being right off Thames.

This property was perfect for our two families to enjoy time together and to explore beautiful Newport. Everything was within walking distance and we loved seeing Newport lit up at night. We had everything we needed in the house, comfy beds and space to just hang out and laugh. We will definitely be back. Bonus points for off-street parking, with a huge driveway, which is a big deal in Newport.

This property has been recently renovated and is in a perfect location for your Newport vacation. It is on a quiet street just off of the main strip (Thames). There are literally restaurants and shops just 1/2 block from this house. And it has central air conditioning which is rare in Newport. Very comfortable. We will be back!

I jumped on this booking one year before the wedding and upon arrival we had no regrets. This home was perfect for the 6 1/2 of us. We had everything that we needed. The location was amazing. We walked to dinner every night and when we took a ride two check out the ocean it was easy to get out of downtown.The air-conditioning was perfect on the first floor...since it was an unusually warm few days we were happy that we brought fans for upstairs sleeping. No complaints...would definitely love to rent this home again. Thank you John!

We stayed here for a wedding/holiday weekend and it was the perfect location. John was so great to communicate with and even allowed us an early check in.
The house was perfect for us with comfortable beds, two bathrooms, great entertaining space in the kitchen and living room.
There were a few things we had to pick up for the house like extra toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags but we did stay for 5 nights.
Having ample parking spots was also such a great addition to the house.
We hope to stay again in the future!

Nicely renovated home in the heart of Newport. Very clean with well-equipped kitchen. We ended up with 4 people instead of 6 and were very comfortable with the bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Loved the large dining table and variety of sitting areas on first floor. We were in town for a wedding so appreciated the ironing board/iron- next time would bring extra hangers. Very walkable to wharf areas and shopping district of Newport as well as Cliff Walk, and amazingly quiet given its proximity to Thames Street. Parking spots a major plus, especially in the summer. Owner easy to reach with questions- would definitely stay here again!

Look no further for the perfect location in Newport. Steps away from Thames Street, great restaurants, and all historic attractions., yet located on a very quiet street. House was immaculate when we arrived. Super convenient parking space allowed for a very fun, stress-free getaway. I highly recommend this home for anyone considering a stay in lovely Newport. From a practical standpoint, just bring your own soaps, bathroom toiletries, etc. House, otherwise, provides all necessary appliances and utensils. Have a wonderful stay!

This was the perfect house for our weekend trip to Newport. The house was immaculate and is walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes - everything. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and the open layout was perfect for hanging out and catching up.

This property is a great location you were able to walk almost everywhere the property was very clean and well-stocked the property manager was easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions the beds were extremely comfortable and we all got a great nights sleep there would highly recommend

The condo is as advertised, the 3 bedrooms are small but perfectly adequate and there are 2 full bathrooms. There were plenty of towels, some toiletries and the beds were comfortable but a bit soft for mature girls! The location worked well for us, at the edge of the downtown but an easy walk to shops and restaurants and there are a few restaurants very nearby. We took the car to the mansions but those sites had ample parking so it was not an issue.
This was my first VRBO since the pandemic so perhaps COVID rules are limiting what hosts leave in the house. There were no dishwasher pods/powder, no tissues, no dishtowels for drying, no paper of any kind. We used a lot of paper towels!
This unit would not be suitable for someone who has difficulty climbing stairs but we had no problems. And the water pressure in both showers was not great, but there was ample hot water. The amenities do not say so, but there is a Keurig coffeemaker (no pods provided) and a French press. And there are 2 hairdryers, one in each bathroom. Bring a flashlight, we were there during a nor'easter and only one of us had a flashlight, in case we lost power, which did not happen. But there does not appear to be any in the house.
