Sandbars Beach House faces beautiful Quindalup beach, with sweeping views across the turquoise waters of Geographe Bay. Whether sitting on the couch on the front terrace or looking through the bay windows of the living room and bedrooms, this is a vista that you will never grow tired of admiring.
Sandbars Beach House is one of only a few houses in Quindalup that enjoys a clear view of the ocean, as there is a lovely lagoon in front of the house instead of trees. The lagoon attracts a varied bird life which is always enjoyable to watch from the house.
Please note Sandbars is situated near a roundabout that leads to the town centre and wonderful beaches and wineries. During peak season this is a busy road.
The Space _ On entering the house you arrive in a bright spacious hallway with a large family room to the left. This room has stunning views across the sparkling bay, with comfortable couches, and a smart TV (with free wifi) makes this room perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening with family and friends. Off the lounge room, looking over the fully fenced back garden is the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for your stay with plenty of pots and pans and serving dishes. An Nespresso coffee machine is available for morning coffee and a NutriBullet if you prefer smoothies.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom one has two single beds combined to make a kingsize bed, bedroom two has a queen bed, both rooms enjoy views over the beach, the 3rd bedroom looks over the peppermint tree shaded back garden, it has two king single beds.
The front terrace has a outdoor lounge setting looking over the bay. If you can drag yourself away from the comfy seats and magnificent views, there are numerous activities to enjoy right from the doorstep, such as cycling along the wonderful and safe beach paths, or standup paddle boarding in the calm sheltered waters of the bay in front of the house. Fishing and golf are also just on your doorstep. Take a stroll up the road and go whale watching or have fun on the fast speed boats!
Dunsborough town centre, with its numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, can be reached by a 15 - 20 minute walk along the lovely beach path, or a short cycle if you bring your bikes. So you can leave the car on the driveway for the duration of your stay. Of course, you may want to use the car to explore a bit further afield with so many great beaches (Meelup, Yallingup, Smiths), wineries and breweries in the area.
Sandbars Beach House sits on its own large (960m2) block, so as well as the beautiful beach views in front of the house, you can enjoy the privacy of the enclosed rural-style back garden complete with an outdoor dining area, stone fire pit and gas barbecue.
There is also plenty of room to bring your own boat trailer with the boat ramp just up the road.

The house has three bedrooms and takes a maximum of 6 guests.
Bedroom one has two singles combined to make a king size bed looking over Geographe Bay Beach.
Bedroom two has queen bed looking over Geographe Bay Beach.
Bedroom three has two king single beds and looks over the back garden.
Quality linen, duvets and blankets are supplied. We provide bath / hand towels and floor mats as well as tea towels but please bring your own beach towels.
Two bathrooms one with bath and shower , the other with shower and laundry facilities.
Two toilets.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave , Nutribullet ,Nespresso coffee machine. We also provide essential cleaning items as well as foil , wrap, and laundry powder.
The back garden has a large stone fire pit for you to enjoy, please be mindful of current fire restrictions during your stay. Fire wood is available to purchase from the local garage or post office.
BBQ and outdoor seating for 6.
Check in is at 3pm on day of arrival and checkout is at 10am on day of departure.

Wonderful view over the ocean. Kitchen amenities plentiful. Beds very comfortable. Lots of space outside for parking etc. Easy access.

We had the best time staying at Sandbars. was perfect for a family catchup and the home was beautiful. Everything you can possibly need with gorgeous touches to make you feel at home. Was a real added bonus we could bring along our fur baby. Perfect to stroll into town and down to the beach. Yes the roundabout does get busy but its all part of the location and great to sit out and watch the world go by. Will be back for sure!

This house is conveniently located and the views are amazing. The house is very clean and beds comfortable.
There are some surprises which are not reflected in many other reviews.
The bathrooms are very lacking. The bathroom with the best shower does not have a mirror nor power point easily accessible. The mirror instead is over the toilet and the powerpoint we didnt find. It also has an external door, which is convenient for the beach but the door isn't sealed properly so the room is constantly occupied by mosquitoes.
The other bathroom which does have a nice basin and mirror has one powerpoint positioned so high it took the full length of the electric toothbrush cable to be able to place it on the bench. The difficulty with this bathroom was an unenclosed, very small shower recess which if used, sent water over about 50% of the bathroom.
The house is located on the corner of two busy roads and the traffic noise is constant. In addition there was a nocturnal critter of some kind in the roof whose activities were sleep disturbing
The house is not secure with many windows not having either latches nor locks. Many windows also do not have flyscreens. The yard is fenced with 1.2m high fencing. We fortunately did not bring our dog but this would have been a concern had we done so.
The barbecue is not at all convenient to the only outdoor seating area which is the very publicly exposed front verandah.
For over $500/night, acknowledging we sayed over the expensive Easter weekend, we absolutely expect better. We left tired and feeling like this was not good value. It is unfortunate given the hosts clearly put effort into cleanliness and a welcome pack.
