About this house rental
Located in Virginia Beach, this attractive house for $682 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Samsung TVs throughout, all logged in with YoutubeTV, Netflix, Hulu and Disney. Rinnai tankless water heater; unlimited hot water for showers after the beach! Pool table, ping pong, arcades. We're ready for you! Escape the mundane and take a walk at the beach! Located in the Heart of the VIBE Arts and Creative District, less than one minute walk from Esoteric and Commune restuarants. Less than five minute walk to beach/boardwalk! NO PETS! Rental sheets will be provided AT NO COST by owner from a third party, however beach towels should be brought with you (linens and shower towels provided, NOT beach towels). Instructions on linens upon departure will be provided. Fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, mixing bowls, etc.)! Beach Cruisers are available for use during your stay, as well as beach chairs and beach toys. There are two grills, one propane and one charcoal. A large outdoor patio on the ground level is perfect cookouts and the second story balcony is the ideal place for sunbathing. There is ample off-street parking able to accommodate up to 6 small cars and four large cars. Granite counter tops with tile and hardwood floors! A must see!! This home is located just three blocks from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. With four bedrooms, three full baths and couch bed this home comfortably sleeps 10 (12 with a blow up mattress, provided by owner). Four queen beds and one queen pull out couch downstairs. Each room has flat screen cable television and wireless internet. Downstairs has hardwood floors in the dining area and tile in the kitchen and living area. Two sofas and large flat screen television make the ideal area for relaxing after a fun filled day at the beach! Washer and dryer are located just off the kitchen. This room also serves the downstairs full bath, as well as the bicycle garage. This property is ideal for a family getaway, couples retreat or girl’s week at the beach. We look forward having you! We will always do our best to accomodate early arrivals and late checkouts. However, checkout is 11am and check in is at 4p. Our cleaning and maintainence crew has 5 hours to get the house in order for your stay. If you want early access before 4p there may be an early arrival free, depending on how early you want to access the home. Access before noon will have a half day rate based on your booked daily rate. This fee is payable prior to access. Late checkout will only be available if no guests arrive the same day you're scheduled to leave. Regardless, the property must be vacated before 5p or the prevailing nightly rate will be imposed. Communicatin is key with respect to early arrivals and late checkouts. Showing up the day of checkin and expecting access early is unfair to our cleaning and maintainence crew. As such, we reserve the right to deny access based on the stated checkin/checkout times. Respect these rules so you enjoy your beach vacation! FALSE CLAIMS: Any unexpected issues found with the property (bugs, missed cleaning, etc) must be disclosed to Host & will be addressed immediately to the Guest's satisfaction. If a professional diagnosis is deemed necessary by the owners after discussing the situation with the guest, a professional will be sent to the property with guest's approval. If the professional finds evidence to substantiate the claim by the guest, the owners will have the professional rectify the situation immediately and the owners will be responsible for all associated costs. If the professional finds no evidence to substantiate the claim by the guest, the guest will be charged for the professional's services and any other resulting loss. We do not tolerate scams, don't try.

We had a fabulous weekend! We used the bikes to ride up to the Virginia Beach Art Show on Friday. The home was the perfect size for our family as we prepared to attend wedding festivities both Friday and Saturday night. We actually walked to the wedding as it was only a few blocks away! We were also able to have extended family over for an impromptu brunch. Lots of room both inside and out for gathering. Highly recommend!

Our family lives in different parts of the country. Each August we select a place to stay that everyone can get to so that the multi-generational family (ages 6-50) can reconnect and make memories. This property was perfect for us. There was plenty of room on the first floor to gather for meals and play games. The outdoor area offered shaded and sunlit options for seating and convening. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The detail that was slightly unusual, but not an issue at all, was that out of the four bedrooms, 3 had direct hallway access and the other could only be accessed by walking through another bedroom. Once again, not an issue for us!
The VIBE District was more than we expected! Short walk to the beach (perfect), quiet street, and just a street or two over there were plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, a farmer's market on Saturday, and quite a bit of night life. Something for everyone! I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a wonderful mini-vacation at Emerson’s Cottage. It is a great house in a convenient location.
The owners have lots of nice touches and amenities - modern appliances, Keurig coffee station, arcade and board games, lots of bikes, ceiling fans in all rooms, TVs in all rooms, etc.
The outdoor space is well appointed too with a sofa, chairs, and a dining table big enough for 8. The yard is set back from the street so it is safe for little ones to run around.
The communication with the owner was excellent.
I highly recommend a stay at EC!

Overall it is a beautiful home & location. Lolly’s ice cream shop right behind the house was awesome! Beach a short walk away and beach cruisers make it even better. House is very accommodating and comfortable! Would definitely recommend!

This is a perfect home located in the Vibe District. It was within walking distance of several amazing restaurants and coffee shops. It was also a short walk to the beach and the Virginia Beach Sports Center where we spent the majority of the weekend. The house came with almost every amenity that you would need for a beach vacation including multiple decks to hang out on, a beautiful lawn to play games, bikesmto ride around town, and boardgames to play inside the hosue. The most popular hit of the weekend were the two old school video game machines that provided hours of fun for our boys throughout a rainy weekend. We would definitely stay at this house again the next time we have a small group in Virginia Beach

The house is near to all the actions. Bikes is really nice. Kids are happy with all the games in the house. Beach is within walking distance. The house have some beach toys for the kids, beach chairs. We can go to the beach in the morning, stay for few hours, go home for lunch + nap, and when the sun is not too hot, we go back again, The next day, its repeat :)

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, clean, well equipped home. All the beach supplies & proximity to the water were terrific. We enjoyed the kitchen/living space, outdoor space, air conditioned patio. All 3 generations absolutely loved the arcade games & board games. The bikes were awesome! The electronic security locks were very convenient & the hosts were easy to work with.

People comfortably. If there were any issues, there was an immediate response and was taken care of within an hour or so. So close to the beach (3 short blocks), chairs and bikes to use, beach toys. House was fully stocked!! We also had a gender reveal for our family there and the owners were so kind and sent us a congratulations basket!!! The house exceeded our expectations - thanks to the wonderful owners of Emerson’s Cottage!!

Our weeks stay was just like home only at the beach The house was very comfortable. Close to the beach which our family went every day. Bikes were a definite plus. In -house games were enjoyed by everyone, even Gramma. House was very clean. All agreed they would like to return to this house for vacation.

The owner Brandon was very responsive and welcoming. The house was very clean and I loved the reusable water bottles they provided for every bedroom, to cut back in single use plastic. The laundry and bikes were a great amenity and the outside space is so cool! Highly recommend this home to anyone!

Great place for some much needed R&R
Super clean, super nice house. The beach is like a 5min walk and there are a ton of great restaurants, bars, and stores. The owners were amazing with everything they did and were always right on time with responses. Just make sure you clean your dishes and put the linens in the bags and your stay will be great. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!!!

Annual Family Race Weekend
House exactly as described. We live in VA Beach and rent a house annually at the oceanfront for Shamrock weekend. This house has several things that are very, very hard to come by- ample private parking, outside lawn and leisure space and lots of extras (bikes, beach gear, etc). We had a great time!

The Emerson Cottage was the prefect getaway for us. The host was more than accommodating. The house was fully equipped and we all loved the in-house arcades, darts and board games.
