Established in 1916, the Mary Agnes Poe House and Garden offers unique lodging in Paso Robles, CA., with a perfect setting for your next romantic getaway, family vacation, or wine country weekend on the beautiful Central Coast of California. This charming craftsman bungalow is in a quiet residential area in the heart of the historic downtown, a short walk from the city park, boutiques, wine tasting, many fine restaurants, children’s museum, and cinema. The Paso Robles Event Center, home of the Mid-State Fair, equestrian competitions, exhibitions, and other activities are also within walking distance. Hop in your car and you are just a few miles from scores of exceptional wineries, golf courses and new water park. Morro Bay, the artist community of Cambria and Hearst Castle are a pleasant drive away. The Mary Agnes Poe House features a sunny and inviting interior, complete with period furnishings, interesting original architectural features, unique wall coverings, and a fully equipped kitchen. The three cozy bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds, and an inviting sunroom has a fold-out couch that sleeps two. There are two modern full bathrooms, one featuring a spa shower. The formal dining room seats eight people comfortably and opens onto a covered deck where you can enjoy a glass of wine or morning cup of tea. With plenty of outside seating, you can rest on the sun-drenched front porch, unwind in the peaceful flower gardens with your favorite book, or entertain yourself and your guests with a barbecue on the lawn or intimate conversation under the sheltered gazebo. This home is super cute and was the perfect size for our three-person girlfriend stay. We love how the owners have retained the charm of this historic home while making it functional and fabulous. Its location provided easy and quick access to downtown Paso and was in a quiet and adorable neighborhood.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the fireplace added a charming, comfortable setting for wine and conversation.

My family and I had a great time staying at the Poe house for a couple of nights when visiting Paso Robles. The historic house is very charming yet surprisingly functional. There are 3 bedrooms and an additional "bonus" room which was perfect for our dog. One of the bedrooms has an attached bath and the 2nd bath is between bonus room and another bedroom. Dining room was a bit small but the dining table was big enough for our group of 5 adults and 1 baby. The biggest plus for this property is LOCATION - within a ten minute walk to downtown Paso Robles. Property was clean and well maintained and I recommend it to anyone looking for historic charm and great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Poe House. The house is quaint but with modern amenities. Some of the decor brought back fond memories of my grandmother's home - cute pieces of china, doilies, quilts, paintings, etc. We were in Paso Robles for a wedding and are so happy that we stayed at the Poe House rather than a hotel. All four of us adults got ready in comfort and arrived at the wedding venue with ease as the house is centrally located. We enjoyed a few meals from eateries that were just a few blocks away. Our dog enjoyed his leashed walks around the yard and around the block. We even saw a deer (doe) and her baby walking down the street across from the house in July!!! The house was clean and orderly upon arrival and checkout was easy. Thank you to the staff of Paso Robles Vacation Rentals who were professional, responsive, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable historic home with all the amenities for a short stay. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the backyard for outdoor BBQ and dining. We didn't watch TV; however, the Living room had only enough seating for three people. We did most of our conversing in the Dining room and backyard dining table. The instructions for the thermostat when leaving the premises was conflicting. One set of instructions said to increase to 85 degrees, another said to turn off the thermostat.

The house was perfect! So charming! Was perfect for our extended weekend stay. The backyard was maintained, however, it wasn’t fully enclosed, which made having dogs a little difficult (since deer walk around). Otherwise, would 100% stay again!

We loved this house so much, my extended family live in Paso and we needed a place to stay for the weekend while visiting from Hawaii. Everything was perfect, loved the coffee they left for us and the fact that all the kitchen equipment was in great shape. We will be back whenever we visit Paso Robles. Thank you!!

Historic cottage. Exactly as advertised commercially managed properly. Guests are asked to run a load of towels and dishes before you leave. Great patio and back yard area. Street parking. Very responsive communication.

We enjoyed our stay. Some electrical problems in beginning that were immediately taken care of by property managers. Fully stocked with appliances and dishes which were great because we ate many meals at the house. Beds comfy and white towels seemed new and extremely soft. Used the outside fire pit which worked well. Thank you for a very nice stay.

As others have said, this is a great place to stay while visiting Paso. Nice walk to town and restaurants. Home was clean and comfy - appeared as presented in pictures and written details. Nice quiet street. We would stay there again.

Wonderful, charming home! Loved the firepit table. Dining room is fun. Showers are nice. The fold out bed was not usable as a bed which was disappointing. Way to bumpy. Pillows were pretty flat as well. Overall really enjoyed it besides those two issues.

Feels Like Home
The Poe House is a beautiful cottage on a quiet street near downtown Paso Robles. From the white picket fence to the lovely garden, the moment you park your car, the entire experience feels like you’re home.
But the property experience is more than the look and feel of the home, the property management company is top notch. They check in with you and ensure you have an amazing time in their town, providing you with recommendations and suggestions for things to do and visit. I really appreciated their attention to detail.
Definitely recommend visiting Poe house…you’ll never be disappointed!

We loved our weekend at the Poe house. We were traveling with two teenagers and we all loved being able to walk to town for dinner, shopping and we even found live music!
The house is adorable and we will be back to stay again.
Our only complaint .... the beds need newer more comfortable mattresses.

This property exceeded all my expectations. Plenty of room for my group, very clean and super comfortable. Other than not having a smart TV, I can’t really come up with any other down side. This is located within a half mile of the park down town and is an easy walk. It’s located on a corner and has ample street parking for all the guests. I highly recommend and I will be back. Cheers.

It is a lovely home well equipped with supplies. Within walking distance to restaurants, the park, and the Historical section of town. Our cat loved the home too! However, Upon entering there was a musty odor throughout the house. Could air fresheners be used? The Beds were really confortable! Overall a 4 STAR RATING! Thank You Paso Robles Rental!
