About this cottage rental
Located near the Village of Walloon (The Foot), we are one of the few properties located right on the water with sunset views, flat yard, and sand beach/lake bottom. Less than a mile from the Village of Walloon, we are located just 6 miles from Boyne City, 7 miles from Boyne Mountain Ski Resort and 9 miles from Petoskey (with nearby Boyne Highlands). This lake front cottage is a three season rental for for spring flowers, summer sun, and the fall color tour. Golf and wine tasting at any of these times!
This cottage is located on the Gold Coast of Walloon Lake's South Shore! All year long enjoy beautiful sunsets from the 20'x20' lake front deck. A large, flat, grassy yard with just steps to the sandy beach and sand bottom lake. Wonderful for children and adults alike! Bulmann dock with spacious sun deck and room to moor your boat! Includes sheltered garden area for windless sunning and a beautiful flower and herb garden for blooms and herbs all summer long!
The cottage features five bedrooms and four full bathrooms. Three bedrooms upstairs (two queen beds and a bunkie room for the kids with double bunks) and two full baths. Master bedroom on the first floor has full en suite bath featuring walk in shower with grab bars and bench for seated bathing. Sitting area for morning coffee and lake view office just off the master as well!
Additional first floor bedroom features queen bed with full en suite bath with glass and tile shower.
Large living/dining area with oversized chairs and couch for family movie night. Double size sliders for the best lake views! Home offers Smart tv and wi-fi. Outdoor dining for 10+ to catch those glorious sunsets nightly!
We are conventiently located less than a mile from the Village of Walloon, “The Foot”, which features a large family friendly park and public beach, General Store, Post Office, BarrelBack, Watershed and Walloon Lake Inn. Lake access to launch boats, Bear River canoe trips, rafting, and hiking along Bear River also available in the village.

What a fantastic cottage in the best (in our opinion) location on Walloon Lake—beautiful sunset views. The outdoor space is perfect, with a large deck, a big flat yard, and dock space for our pontoon rental. The bunk beds were small for the over 6'2" 23-year-olds in our crew (lol), but they would be great for kids.
Jennifer was responsive and a lovely host! We hope to rent again soon!

Overall the accommodations were adequate for our needs. While the basic cottage was dated, it was very clean and kept çurrent with items like WiFi,cable TV and appliances.
We occupied most of our time outside on the large deck and on the front lawn, which was spacious and accommodated our pick up games.

Lovely property in an ideal setting. Stunning sunsets and the wind rustling through the trees was so peaceful. The property was, in the words of college bound teens, “sooo cozy and charming”. Wow, those are teens saying that! They loved the comfy couch and oversized chairs. The master suite was very nice with a cozy fireside glow to fall asleep to. The kitchen was well equipped and met all our needs. We had 5 people staying and never once did we feel cramped. Would rent again and again for a timeless experience. Thank you, Jen for being a great host!!

No issues as everything was accurate in the description. Great location although some road noise. Cottage was well stocked with everything that was needed (they held back on nothing!) Clean and great shape. Shore/beach area was perfect just wish it was warm enough to swim. Jennifer the host was accommodating and very easy to work with. We recommend this property!
