We are family owned cabins nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our cabins are less than one hour driving distance from attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Crabtree Falls, Montebello Fish Hatchery, Oak Ridge Estate, Wintergreen Ski Resort, Rockfish Valley Restaurants, Wineries and Breweries, Walton’s Mountain Museum, and Appalachian Trail. We are also within an hours time of Lexington, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Staunton, and Waynesboro, Virginia. All cabins are modernly equipped and ready for your stay. Come explore the Blue Ridge Mountains! Bear Paw will give you the rustic mountain feel as your drive off the beaten path! This cabin can sleep up to four people and has plenty of room for your stay! Bathrooms: 1 Full with tub/shower Bedrooms: 1 Full bed bedroom and two lofts. Lofts are not suitable for small children. Loft 1: Contains one twin Loft 2: Contains one twin Cabin can fit up to 4 people. Fully equipped Kitchen. Fireplace firewood and toiletries are not supplied Woodstove Central Heating and Air Washer and Dryer Park type charcoal grill .smart tv Access to River -trout fishing NO PETS/NO SMOKING Due to mountain terrain, cell service is not available.There is a landline phone in cabin for local and emergency calls.internet wifi is available .Fire Wood is not furnished for campfires. Any time of year is wonderful for a visit to Virginia's mountains but we feel fall is the best. Cool temperatures and gorgeous terrain, and the smell of the earth putting itself to sleep for the winter, treats the senses. I would recommend North Folk Cabins Rentals and the host (Kenneth and Margaret) for anyone wanting to relax with nature.

Beautiful cabin perfect for a family of 3-4. Our daughter loved playing outside and walking down to the creek just behind the cabin. Easy access to Crabtree falls trailhead. We hope to come back again!

This property is perfect for a relaxing vacation! It is very clean, has all the comforts of home but close enough to Staunton, Lexington, caverns, etc. (within an hour). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Paw.

Bear paw cabin was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. Everything we needed was there in the cabin, nice equipped kitchen. The weather was amazing to just sit by the river and relax. We will be back in the spring and plan to try one of the other cabins. The neighbor was super nice and helpful and even offered us firewood. Can’t wait to return.

We love going to North Fork cabins. My daughter and 2 grandchildren go every year with other family members it is the best vacation ever. So relaxing and Bear Paw cabin is our favorite. The owners are the best so sweet we look forward to it each year. We are already planning next year. Great experience and so many great memories

This property is perfect for folks who need to unplug, and close enough to Nelson County attractions to keep you as active and busy as you want to be. The hosts are wonderful and make sure to check in with you to make sure your stay is everything you expect. Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by the mountains and the serenity and sounds of the river. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay that's away from all of the hustle-bustle of civilization, definitely check this place out! The sound of water rolling off of the rocks from a nearby stream, the crackle of a fire and some chirping crickets were the only sounds that we heard at night. It simply couldn't have been more relaxing! The cabin itself was A+ in every way with all of the necessities needed and more! It was one of the best weekend getaways we have had to date. The owners were kind and attentive as well, if needed, but not overbearing or bothersome in any way. We will be looking forward to our next visit!

This lovely cabin was a great place to spend our weekend get-away. It was easy to access and came equipped with everything that we needed. The river was right behind the cabin and the area was a very natural setting. Neighboring houses were somewhat close but all of the adjacent rentals were empty when we visited. Very nice location but not 100% secluded.

We have PLENTY of positive things to say about our stay. It was first ..VERY quiet as we were the only guests in the cabins at the time of our stay( no neighbors). The water is about 300 ft below the property and is perfect to cool off, as it's only about waist deep and crystal clear. Most activities ( restaurants and brewing companies) are a short drive( about 40 minutes) In case you want some civilization! I enjoyed reading the notes left by previous guest about their memories made during their visit. It was a nice touch to find extra items left by others, so make sure you check under sinks for simple products you may have forgotten( bug spray, charcoal, fire starter , spices for cooking etc.) The cabin itself was quite cozy and clean. We made breakfast every AM and ventured out during the day , and came back for bon fires and smores. We lost power and water and contacted the owners and the issue was promptly taken care of. The one thing I would suggest, is the outside property could use some sprucing up, nature has definitely taken over as most of the cabin is covered in webs, and none of the outdoor seating was clean. The sliding door off back room was same, covered in webs and dead bugs. It was very nice to see what life is like outside of a busy city., internet service worked great to keep in touch with family, when needed! We can't wait to go back !!!

Great weekend getaway
We enjoyed or anniversary weekend at this cabin. It was just as expected and we enjoyed a dip in the creek behind the house. Our only complaint was the air fresheners had a strong strawberry sent that we did not care for. But otherwise had a great weekend.

Beautiful mountain cabin.
Bear Paw Canin was beautiful decorated with a well stocked kitchen. It felt like a visit to my great grandparents home with all the extra blankets and love that is put in to this cabin. The owners were wonderful, checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We plan on going there again.
