If travelling by train, then the location is perfect. Quiet street 5 mins from both main station & Metro stop. Room was spacious & clean. Front desk staff were exemplary.
There was a minor problem with my room electrics & a drip but front desk staff helped resolve. I didn’t think the breakfast was value for money, although breakfast room does have an amazing view

Very central for the station (5 mins walk) and a nice walk to/from the lake boats, but very quiet and hardly any road traffic or noisy city goers. 24 hour reception. Breakfast served from 06.30 7 days a week in a room on the 9th floor with a grand views of the city and lake, looking over to Evian and the high mountains. Breakfast is extra, 20 Swiss Francs if you pay for it at the latest when you check in. or 22 SF at the breakfast room. Quite a good breakfast with a choice of wholemeal breads, crispy rolls, 3 sorts of fruit juices, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, bowls of fresh fruit salad, bircher muesli, tomatoes, cucumber, pre wrapped cheeses (shame not a block of cheese really) good selection of nuts, seeds and dried fruits, very good coffee, selection of teas, bowl of fresh fruit, small pots of fruit yoghurts, croissants, patisseries, etc. Tea and instant coffee in your room.

Lift to car park was broken, trapping cars & making it impossible to park. Parking for more than three hours is challenging in Lausanne, so this was a real problem.

Layout of bathroom- no separation between toile and shower. Totally impractical
Slow hair dryer
Very basic breakfast - everything from machines no personal service. Not enough staff on. One of two coffee machines not working.
Dreadful design of breakfast area - some seats too low to sit at tables if you are under 6ft and area prone to overheating once sun came up.
