We received a phone call from the innkeeper the day of our arrival to let us know that a significant festival and celebrations were taking place in the town and that parking would be nearly impossible to find- something we hadn't known about. It was wonderful that we were able to give her our ETA, and when we arrived, she met us as we pulled up and had 'saved' a parking space for us right in front of the inn- better than if we'd used the garage parking we'd planned on! We had a lovely breakfast the next morning, and as I had to catch a ferry early, we were grateful for being able to have such a breakfast at an early hour. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well appointed. I'd looked up the history of the hotel before arriving and it was fun to feel into the stories the buildings held. The friend accompanying me had fallen ill, and while I moved on to Terschelling, Hotel Almenum was able to accommodate him another 2 nights making it a relief for someone not feeling well. Enjoyed the outdoor area for sitting and relaxing too- very pretty, and we had alot of fun with the surprise festivities in town. Great location and easy to walk around.
This hotel doesn't have established parking for guests, so you do have to pay for parking.

I love the location in the heart of Harlingen. The staff are quite friendly and accommodating. And the residential units always meet my expectations and have wonderful decorations.
The bathrooms are usually quite cold, mostly because of the simple ventilation system. Would suggest if they could find a solution.
Otherwise the units are quite lovely.

The location of the accommodation is perfect, close to the centre and 7 minutes walk from Harlingen train station. The communication on the check-in was excellent. The room and facilities were very comfortable.
We didn't take the breakfast, but it seemed quite expensive.
