The hotel was very clean, the staff was kind, everything was simply amazing. We had a late flight and wanted to spend the day at the beach after check out - the reception offered us to use the beach towels and a courtesy room to shower, completely free of charge. The service at this hotel is exceptional.
We liked the breakfast selection, but there could’ve been a wider variety of vegetables and fish, such as avocado or salmon. Overall, the selection was good and nutritious.

Loved the location, the staff, the pool, the bar areas. All faultless.
Aircon was very much lacking in rooms and showers dangerous as would go from lukewarm to scalding constantly, so unless had a cold shower you were taking your chances.

Cleaning everyday and kindly staff, but it has already been foundational in a 3* hotel also.
Location is next to the beach.
It needs not in advance payment, but it is not relevant aspect in a 5* stars hotel.
The Hotel Christina by Tigotan's quality is like an average 4 stars hotel, but not a 5 stars hotel, only its prices are 5 stars. The quality of the services is average. The inside interior, pavements and wainscoting, the furnitures of the room are old and has a cheap effect. The rooms and terraces are small sizes. There is not clothes-horse, flatiron, ironing desk. The breakfasts are the same everyday, the refill is slowly, there are a lot of empty dishes, a lot of fruits are canned (pineapple, apricot, peach)! The hotel has not Spa and indoor pools. The outside pool is a simple swimming pool. The pool terrace very simple and poor, no decorations (no mediterran palms, no ornamental islands, rocks, stones, flowers, etc.. The metal sunbeds are staffed with a weak sponge and their numbers are a low. The number of sunshades are not enough. The meal menu of the pool is not too variable. We have reserved a new hotel after 4 nights at the south coast. They rejected the refund for the remaining days because the reservation was made through an agent (Booking.com). If you really want to see 5 stars hotel I suggest the Faro Hotel or Hotel Riu Palace in Maspalomas. They are in other dimensions...
In the end, if you come to Gran Canaria you had better if you choose the south Coast for example Maspalomas). More beautiful and much better the climate, weather, temperature (cca 3 deegrees difference between the two coasts), much more sights, experience, amusement, parties, bars, etc. The 90% of guided tour start from south Coast.
