We choose a Westin as it was the last night of our month long trip abroad. We wanted comfort and amenities, such as pool and spa, and it didn’t disappoint. We also wanted something reasonably close to the airport.
Everything was just fine. If you’re sightseeing in Zagreb (we were not), then it might be a bit far away.

The gym was good. The breakfast was also fine. The lobby bar staff is the only staff there on the level of a 5 star hotel.
The SPA was full of grumpy old people (non hotel guests) who constantly bothered us with their nonsense. Always had some remarks or complaints. They come there bringing food and drinks like they are going to be there for a few days. Not to mention that they walk around completely naked most of the time. There is a jacuzzi tube in the pool which you can never get to, because these guys are keeping it on shifts like Frodo kept the famous ring. Also the smell coming from the toilet in our room was very unpleasant. However, I was most surprised by the stuff. Never in my life have I said a bad word for a staff, but here it felt like they were forbidden to smile.
