The hotel has a beautiful location with wonderful views over Lake Tegernsee. The rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable. A particular highlight was the panoramic sauna, as well as having breakfast on the terrace with the lake view. The service was excellent throughout our stay, whether at reception, in the restaurant or at the bar. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive.
The only aspect that did not fully meet our expectations was the dinner. While the overall setting and service were very good, we felt that the execution of some of the dishes could have been better.

Not all floors have elevators. Although staff takes care of baggage, but this is less comfortable.

This was my third stay at this beautiful hotel, and I have had the chance to stay in a different building each time. All three were equally wonderful.
The staff are exceptional—both the reception and restaurant teams are highly professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. The views are simply breathtaking.
The spa is also excellent (apart from the presence of children and babies, which can disturb the otherwise peaceful atmosphere), and my massage experience was extremely enjoyable.
I have left the hotel with wonderful feelings after every stay and would happily return again.
During my last two stays, there were children and babies in the spa, particularly around the pool. Due to the strong echo, the noise significantly affects the peaceful atmosphere. I would strongly recommend making the spa area adults-only.
Another concern is the large number of bees during breakfast and dinner time before sunset. Perhaps the hotel could create a designated bee-friendly area away from the dining tables to attract them elsewhere. I am highly allergic to bee stings, so having so many bees around poses a serious health risk for guests like me.

Tegernsee is beautiful and the hotel's buildings and rooms are nice. Breakfast was very good. Spa was nice enough. The cleaning standards were very good.
The hotel caters predominantly for german people and we felt like we have been tolerated, but not particularly welcome. Given its 5-star rating and the price we paid, my husband and I expected a more welcoming experience and a higher level of service.
Upon arrival, we were assigned a room that was smaller and less expensive than the two identical rooms I had booked. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the way this issue was handled was concerning. The reception staff seemed annoyed when I pointed out the discrepancy. After receiving the correct room keys, we were not given directions to the room, nor were we escorted there, which I found unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Furthermore, when we located the room, it was not yet ready.
Additionally, we were invited to the reception for complimentary welcome drinks, but upon arriving, we were directed to the restaurant and charged for our beverages.
The lunch and Dinner menue was very limited and the same every meal. There were not any TV channels other than german.
Overall, our stay was disappointing, and we felt we did not receive adequate value for our money.
