Great location (directly opposite a good local restaurant and a huge 7-Eleven as well as Sala Thai and an Italian coffee shop was a short 7mins walk away) as well as very hospitable staff at breakfast area and reception. Breakfast spread was 100% on point!
Housekeeping was slack for two days as we got back to our room in the afternoon with room still not done up.

The highlight of our stay was the beautiful private beach. It is tranquil, peaceful and genuinely stunning, with beautiful water and mesmerizing views. Even the walk down to the beach is an experience in itself, surrounded by lush trees, greenery and waterfalls. You can see that a great deal of thought went into the resort’s architecture, landscaping and connection with nature.
The resort is spacious and has a lovely sense of privacy and exclusivity. Our room was a good size, breakfast was enjoyable with a nice selection, and we found the food—particularly the in-room dining—to be very good value for money compared with several other five-star resorts we have stayed at in Thailand.
Our main disappointment was the Kids Club, especially as it was one of the reasons we chose the resort. We travelled with children aged 2, 4 and 5, but there were very few toys or activities capable of keeping the older children engaged. The room is quite small, with basic toys and drawing/painting, and our 4- and 5-year-olds became bored very quickly. Organised activities were limited, required advance booking and involved an additional charge. We had expected the children to be happily engaged there with their nanny while we enjoyed some time as parents, but unfortunately this was not possible.
Our arrival experience was also disappointing. Despite booking around a month in advance and providing our family details, we were initially allocated non-connecting rooms. We were told connecting rooms were essentially first come, first served, which was surprising given that we were travelling with three young children. Thankfully, the manager was very professional, apologised and moved us to connecting rooms the following day, which we appreciated, but it affected our first impression of the stay.
Finally, the approach to our room was surprisingly unattractive for a five-star resort, passing through an area with exposed air-conditioning and utility equipment that felt more like a service/back-of-house area. This contrasted sharply with the otherwise beautiful design and landscaping of the resort.
