Almost everything. Facilities and staff very good and helpful.
It's not a hotel to watch sunsets from...at least not in June. Paddlocks (supplied) to secure premise. Outside shower area could have been cleaner.

The place is very nice, the sea view villas are the best option in my opinion. It's a small island resort, it has island vibes and a lot of nature. It's not a chain sanitised experience, you will find lizards and moths all over but that is what you get on a Thai island and really, you shouldn't expect any less. The breakfast is okay, they make nice eggs for you. The staff are all very nice. In my opinion the staff is the difference on whether you feel welcome and relaxed at a resort and here, they are lovely. You're sea front but not beachfront, but the sea is 5 minutes away, and there are other beaches all over the island. Compared to other places for a similar price that are away from the sea, this beats them all. It's a little expensive for what you get but it's still really nice. 9/10, only fault is price/value

The hotel location is wonderful and it is such a beautiful spot.
The sunset from the deck is magical and the barman played the coolest music!
Despite the challenges, this was a very special stay!
We struggled with breakfast options initially. After a discussion with management, they rectified it. The hotels in Thailand are not great with marking ingredients and it would be so easy to put a vegan table together.
The service at the bar is really really poor. We had to go get our drinks ourselves every time, this is minor but for this type of resort they could do with fine tuning their service. Also, I consider this to be a quiet, exclusive resort. On the Friday there was a tour group and a tour leader with a loudspeaker that overwhelmed the already challenged service. It was disappointing to see them letting in a big tour group since the servers/staff then had to focus on day visitors and not on serving the in house guest.
There is very little maintenance done around the property and sunbeds. Every morning, the same garbage, cigarette buds etc were still there from the previous day. I saw guests cleaning around the area a few times. All it would take is for the staff to be aware of it, so when they walk past, clean up.

The Seaview room was magnificent. There was a huge outdoor enclosed area with a day bed. The shower was semi outside. There was a coffee pod machine. A lovely little goodnight gift display was left on my bed. The room was very well equipped.
It was low season and the restaurant ( where the sunset view is ) was closed. It was substituted by the cafe and the breakfast and food there were ordinary for a four star hotel. The prices were higher than Koh Kood Resort. No happy hour…. Due to low season….. The swimming pool is more of a domestic size pool. Unfortunately the beach, though beautiful, being near the river and mangroves had sand flies. I was bitten in over forty places and unfortunately could not continue to go on the beach or the river.
To get to the beach you need to kayak across a bit of the river which is fun but maybe not for everyone.
I do not understand how an establishment can close off important facilities and yet still take customers. There was no atmosphere at all.
