Breakfast was amazing, staff very happy and great, the location is amazing right on the harbour, just a lovely old Pub with good pricing for beer food and room.
My room was an interior room with a window that opened onto the kitchen exhaust and the staff area, so i could smell and hear most things, but it was not too much of an issue, they had a sensor light in the kitchen that kept coming on through out the night, I would ask for a room with a view next time.

Beautiful location.
Large room overlooking the harbour.
Loved the dry robes in the room, enjoyed a dip in the sea.

Most things, though it is now a pub with rooms rather than the nice hotel it was when we last stayed. The location is amazing and the staff were excellent.
The room was so small that likening it to a shoebox would be am insult to the latter. That would at least have been fit for purpose. As a result, even allowing for the honeypot nature of Charlestown, it is massively over-priced. (We paid roughly the same for a vastly superior room at one of Rick Stein's places in Padstow a few days earlier.) In fairness, there are more details on the hotel's own website but we didn't see those until afterwards.
