Beautiful Ivy House is conveniently located just about 200 meters from St. Austell train station, yet it is very quiet. Bedroom 3 was large, the bed was comfortable, and there were tea and coffee-making facilities. I also had a wonderful view over the garden and across St. Austell. The private bathroom was also large, and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast comes with a great selection to choose from, including pancakes and options for different dietary requirements. The owner James was very friendly and helpful. I truly enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay here again.
There was no wardrobe or cupboard in the room, which was fine for my 2 night stay, but I would have missed having more storage space on a longer stay.

We loved the fact it was small with only 3 guestrooms and it felt really homely. It's a beautiful house, clearly well loved and cared for. And the gardens were stunning! Our room was lovely and we particularly loved the shower as it had a great water pressure and temp controls. Bed was super comfortable and we had everything we needed. Another positive for us, was no tv in the room, I hate that when we're away and refreshing to not see one here. Breakfast was also top!
A beach on the doorstep, ha ha but that's greedy and clearly we knew we hadn't booked a location with a beach. We went swimming down at Charlestown so we were very happy.

Everything! Beautiful building, lovely room, exceptionally comfortable bed, fantastic host, delicious breakfast with loads of options, and close to St Austell station.
