Very friendly and informative

They had lots of amenities, on-site parking and pool. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the location is very central. Katie, the staff member clearing at breakfast was excellent.

Excellent location and hotel facilities, namely the pool and gym. Clean room, large comfortable bed and good décor. Quiet room.

Very limited restaurant menu for a hotel of this size, shocked that they had run out of a staple item (fish and chips) by 20:30. TV in the room is heavily restricted with only basic terrestrial channels available, streaming options were not 'allowed', shocking in 2026. The bathroom is huge and the décor fresh but its poorly designed, the fixtures were placed rather than positioned, the shower was very large and modern but it had the tiniest shower head in the corner, on the wall, a shower of this size screams monsoon. No shelves for personal effects meaning items were placed on the edge of the one basin. The queue for breakfast on Saturday was a surprise and unexpected, but it did move reasonably fast. Room service missed used cups and glasses when servicing the room. Visited to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary which was mentioned when we booked, this affords the hotel every opportunity to build good will and brand loyalty, two chocolates on the pillow would have sufficed, however the hotel saw this as an upsell opportunity with two packages available at an not inconsiderable additional charge.... we graciously declined.

Great location and as such expensive. Windows didn’t shut properly and as it was very windy made an annoying whistling sound all night. Sofa bed had not been made up as per booking and when it eventually was linen was dirty. It was a cold, wet windy day but the heating didn’t work. As a parting farewell I had to pay £30 extra for the use of the hotel car park! I’ve stayed in a number of great Hilton Double Tree hotels in the past but this one was way below par for the price.
