Great location. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice.
Parking on site a huge bonus
Bed was a little uncomfortable, mattress not quite firm enough for me.

Help I got at the reception, especially by Suzana. She was so willing to help and nice. Really lovely.
The room did not meet my expectations. There could be more amenities. I stayed for 5 nights. I could have been provided some goodies like mineral still water upon my arrival (only once towards the end did I get a can). Not everything was replaced on a daily basis (I wanted minted tea and chamomile- instead of just black tea which I do not drink), toilet paper or small towels (once none of these was added). I would have liked to have a mini fridge. This would have been of help.
The room and the building looks in need of upkeep to make it look less old.
At certain times the hotel was crowded and there were too many people waiting for the lift, especially when whole groups do check-in. Once I had to go all the way upstairs to the fifth floor at the end of a long conference day!

The hotel is OK for what it is - nothing special.
The bar was nice, a bit expensive, but they made a decent cocktail.
No free wi-fi; to get it free you had to join their club, which is a nonsense. Every hotel, every cafe, every bar nowadays has free wi-fi.
Our room was at the far end of the hotel; my wife wanted a shower before we went out but ran the water, and ran the water and eventually had a cold shower, which did not put her in the best of moods. When I came to try the shower, the same thing happened, but after several minutes the water warmed up; clearly it took an age for hot water to get through the system. When my wife complained at the desk the response was, to say the least, mediocre, so we left without any resolution and a bad taste over the poor service.

Fantastic Location we booked a room with a sea view & balcony
The only thing I would say breakfast lots of choice however cooked buffet needs to be kept at a higher temperature was barely warm.
Warm plates would also help.

For some reason I booked a room for a person in a wheelchair, which we didn't need. No hooks on bathroom door for towels/robes etc. No shelf in bathroom for toiletries. Breakfast on Saturday morning was overcrowded and chaotic. Location good.
Think about number of hotel guests and how this may affect breakfast ie quantity of food and seating of guests.

Excellent room, excellent breakfast
On arrival we asked about parking and were informed the multiple storey we parked in was ok, were given a code and paid £9 in the hotel reception, when leaving the car park we were told our ticket did not apply to the car park and had to pay £28. Total £37. On arrival only one lift was working and a group of 52 members of the Sunseakers club were waiting to use the one lift with luggage in front of us. The bar was packed with a wedding party and in the morning there was a queue from the breakfast room into the corridor, another log wait. Nice hotel but full to capacity and a lot of money for the experience.

Great location, super clean and friendly!
Price was particularly expensive.

The location and the friendliness of the staff.
The room we booked through Booking.com was a superior queen room with sea view and a kitchen area. When shown to our room the hotel explained that there are no rooms in the hotel with a kitchen area. So you mis-represented the room. The kitchen area was of p[articular importance to us, see description from my booking below:
'Queen Superior Room with Sea View and Balcony
Meals can be prepared in the well-fitted kitchen, which comes with a refrigerator, a dishwasher and a microwave. The spacious double room provides air conditioning, a tea and coffee maker, a balcony with sea views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. The unit offers 1 bed. '
In addition we had noises in the room throughout the night ranging from phone alarms and buzzing from the air-conditioning.

the room was great and the bed was very comfy. the breakfast wis brilliant, however i do think some gluten free bread could be laid out so i don't have to bother staff as it took so long to toast it and bring it over i had finished eating the rest of my meal.
we choose your hotel due to its parking and gym facilities. the gym floor matts smelt so bad we did not want to spend time in there and may car got damaged in the car park and the police are having to look into it.

Having stayed at the Doubletree Hilton - we were very disappointed with the room size. Having specifically selected a Superior Queen with sea view. As my partner needed space to work in the morning and a spacious bathroom, as displayed on the Booking website images.
The room and bathroom were much, much smaller than the rooms disclosed online and I am very unhappy with this, I raised this with the reception staff and they basically referred us to Booking! Even though we confirmed the images on their website also were much, much larger than the actual room they booked us into - but did state we were in a Superior Queen with sea view.
This really has put a cloud over our stay in Brighton and questions my choice of booking service and hotel chain for future trips (living in both Zurich / London we travel frequently).
We have paid far too much for a very, very basic room - NOT what we selected!
I would ask you to consider the above and take appropriate action.

Room was small but good for the money. Didn’t have breakfast. Location really good. Near everything you need.
May be entertainment would have been nice. But the bar was nice enough

Overall it was average.
Bathroom clean but shower and bath a safety hazard.
Breakfast overpriced £22.50.pp Tap misses the wash hand basin. Would expect decent coffee served to the table with toast. Machines produced small half cup of frothy coffee cold and was out of service 50% of the time.
Kids room looks like a token gesture.

the facilities were very charming and with every service needed within, i would like to praise Lucy from the reception for being so kind and caring when i needed some help (and for wearing comfortable shoes hahaha)

Had to pay £26 for parking overnight. This was certainly not clear. We stayed there because of on-site parking no mention of payment

Room was nice and had obviously been updated recently.
Did not like the £25 charge for an early check in even though the room was ready and available, never have I experienced a charge like this before.

Staff we’re absolutely amazing the hotel was amazing want to thank Saba and Suzanne for making our stay special
We didn’t have longer to stay

There were so many Cons to the £240 room that it’s hard to say we enjoyed anything.
Rooms are extremely small - we even got an upgrade for an extra £30 and I must say for a £240 per night room, it was extremely small, bathroom was terribly small, everything in the room was on top of each other and boarder lining on ridiculous. Not worth the money at all.

Hotel was in a great location, staff were great & newly refurbed
The room was a wind trap, it was SO noisy during the night that it kept me awake. Had to put the TV on to end up covering the noise. If I wasn’t all settled in the room and in bed I would of gone to reception to ask to move rooms

Good location. Lovely room
Great breakfast
The television didnt work. This seems to be a problem that happens at the Hilton hotels. Had the same problem in Cardiff. Reported it the next morning.
4.0
Clean room. The location in front of the beach is good. Decent sized TV and good water pressure. Secure car park.
We were offered an upgrade to a king size room upon arrival for an extra £20 or £60 extra for a sea view room but as the hotel parking was so expensive (£50 for two nights and that’s with a discount!) we declined. We’ve stayed at The Grand hotel next door before and they upgraded us to a huge suite with sea view and balcony and didn’t charge anything extra. Our room was VERY hot considering it was March. The air-con was useless. We had to open the window but we were woken at 5am by the hotel bins being emptied and then noise from the construction site opposite started at 8am and it was HORRENDOUS. I appreciate the hotel cannot control the noise outside but they can control the temperature of the rooms. Upon checkout we paid for the parking and were told by the staff member we could leave whenever we want to that day. She said we could just drive out of the car park as the gate opens with vehicle registration recognition. When we tried to leave the car park later that day the gates wouldn’t open. We pressed the intercom for help several times but there was no answer. We had to park up again and go all the way back to reception and queue to ask why we couldn’t get out. Extremely annoying. The receptionist said she’d get someone to open the gates. So we tried to leave again but again the gates wouldn’t open and again no answer on the intercom. I had to ring reception on my mobile to finally get the gates opened! We will definitely avoid this hotel next time we visit Brighton.

Amazing location.
Staff team were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming.
Reception area and main stairwells of hotel are beautiful and kept incredibly clean.
Views over Brighton seafront are gorgeous.
For nearly £200 a night I feel rather swindled about what I received:
No fridge in a Superior King with Sea View and Balcony, yet I'm pretty sure the room description said it had one... but really, no fridge in a premium room, in 2024.
No complimentary bottles of water in a Superior Room? You keep absolutely nothing added.
Balcony was grubby, though I understand difficult when opposite the sea due to constant salt spray.
TV didn't work properly, couldn't access guest services, despite staff trying to assist to make it work.
Huge bed but Mattress was absolutely terrible - Staff kindly offered to put a topper on the mattress - which was done but this wasn't a topper, it was a mattress protector so made zero difference - underneath the sheets the mattress was dirty, old and sagging, and apparently belonged to a different room as had a different room number written on it.
Air conditioning doesn't work... in any of the rooms apparently - everybody I spoke to had that issue.
I had 2 windows but they didn't open so had to rely on leaving balcony door open overnight, seeing as the AC doesn't work.
USB sockets next to bed didn't work, thankfully I bring a plug with me.
WiFi only works on one side of the hotel and is NOT free, unless you want basic speed for just sending a message (in 2024... at a Hilton?! what?!).
Soundproofing is poor, could hear my neighbours 'enjoying' their evening.
Soap dispenser in bathroom coming away from wall.
Bathroom walls were cracked and peeling in places.
Swimming pool fitting rooms absolutely disgusting and the pool itself smells of mildew - there must be a leak somewhere.
If I had paid perhaps £85-£100 a night, I could tolerate most of this but for nearly £200, it is absolutely not good enough and I feel like I've been robbed... I could have stayed at the Holiday Inn about 100 metres away for half the price and a better equipped room.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was also ideal as it was within walking distance to everything.
Upon arrival I was allocated a room with a faulty bed, that creaked and sounded as though it was from the 60s. I could hear guests in the room next door. The aircon did not work and the windows only opened slightly. I spoke to reception and was moved to a room to which they advised was an ‘upgrade’. Whilst the bed was better, the room was not. The wardrobe was smaller, the aircon was still terrible and I could hear other guests in rooms at either side the entire weekend.
No fridges in rooms which isn’t helpful when the room is warm and the aircon doesn’t work.
The pool facilities were dirty, the pool itself was awful and smelt like damp - the tiles at the bottom of the pool were wobbly and loose. The changing facilities were unclean, there was only one changing room and you needed codes to access the lockers.
I signed up to Hilton honours as advised before my stay to allow for easier access to wifi however this was not the case. I could not reach the wifi in my room at all on any device I had brought.
For my first stay at a Hilton I expected a lot more. One for the reputation they have and two for the money I spent. I won’t be going back.

The property was in good location and the staff were mainly friendly.
The pillows were truly awful, contributed to an awful nights sleep. Requested more pillows which were quickly delivered but this didn’t improve comfort levels. The air conditioning in the room was set to a high temperature, despite requesting this be looked at by hotel maintenance it seemed to still be really warm in our room.

Breakfast was good lots of choice
Room had not fridge, for the price there should have put a fridge in the room
Spa closed at 9.30 when it states on booking it closes at 10.00pm

The location of the hotel and the room. For 3 people sharing a room it did not feel too cramped.
Sometimes the service within the hotel was very slow especially in the restaurant downstairs.
7.0
The room was nice, but so far away from check in, I was exhausted and in pain so in no mood to walk so much, had no idea it was that massive. Some of the staff were okay. Lovely homeless man out front called John, made friends with him while I was out smoking and he was just lovely, saw him the next day along the pier too. Surprised the staff didn't help get him a room for the night.
Some of the staff were super pushy to get me to sign something before I could even get in the room and use the loo or get my head together, I'm disabled so parking was just ridiculous, then all the walking was terrible. Getting out, a whole line of us had to sit for 10+ minutes to be let out of massive gates, everyone started getting annoyed.
The constant back and forth wasn't fun, the food in the restaurant came out cold, which the really nice waitress did take back and I eventually got hot food, but a long wait and it kinda ruined it.

Reception and main hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean although we had a dirty towel put in our room as clean. This was promptly replaced, so no real complaint there. The room is well furnished and bed is comfortable, but mirrors and plug sockets don't seem to be in the right places, more of a problem for the ladies i appreciate.
We visited the bar for a night cap and I pointed out to the waiter that the glass he was about to use was dirty. I thought i was being helpful in saving wine being wasted. The waiter seemed to take issue making a big song and dance about getting and cleaning the replacement glass. We just didn't want our wine served in a glass where you could still see the last users lips on the glass. Perfectly reasonable i think.
