Callum and Amy at the bar were welcoming, we enjoyed breakfast. Complementary crisps and drinks. Great location.
I really do struggle to believe this is a 4 star hotel? Somethings not right there - maybe it’s due to location? As the rooms are not 4 stars! The lobby is certainly nothing like the rooms the lobby is nice and inviting. The bed room is soo dated and dirty - the walls (see picture) the toilet struggles to go down - no toilet brush. Toilet roll provided was used my previous guests. My husband kept smelling urine but we believed it may have been the carpet and it was late at night our children was asleep so we didn’t investigate BUT Up on stripping the bed as we always do before checking out we was sickened to see the stains on the mattress which has clearly been there’s for a long long time as there was several stains I left stripping it I did not want to see the rest of the mattress it turned my belly! House keeping must of known the mattress was like that as every time they changed it they would have seen it! how on earth can you think this is acceptable I didn’t check my kids mattress but I dread to think. We ate in the restaurant which was over priced, ham and mushroom pizza £16.50 :| we also had 3 dishes for £22 which was awful we didn’t eat the chicken and spring rolls got sent back due to being freezing (even bar people agreed and was shocked) they did offer a 25% refund but not received that yet :/! It was a special occasion as I added to the notes and this hotel really disappointed us😢 it’s in need of a big make over! . We was never asked on check out how our stay was and that was probably for the best as I would have been there all morning, really upsetting!

The room was clean. Check-in was fast, and the staff was friendly. The inclusive breakfast was nice, too. Food was not cheap tasting.
It could have been done with a new paint job. The lift was out of order, but none of these things really impacted my stay.

Staff very helpful and friendly
First room cold and damp, so asked to change rooms, which reception did with no issues. Hairdryer blow up and phone to reception didnt work in second room. Had to go to reception and ask for new hairdryer.
Price cheaper direct with IHG, so shouldnt have booked with booking.com on this occasion, will look at it better next time, also dont get rewards via booking.com if not direct with IHG.
The hotel didnt know about our paid parking and it was overpriced with booking.com.

Hotel tired and care worn. Not really what you would expect from Holiday Inn. Chosen specifically for location, and the car parking, it delivered on both as a few minutes walk from Brighton Centre

I loved the sea view, the room had everything you could need to be comfortable. There was something for every one and hot food nicely cooked.
Meal on our second nice was excellent.
Staff were very friendly.
Didn’t like the evening dinning area. It had colourful seating which was good but was like a small coffee bar small cramped tables for 2 ,it lacked ambience. The evening meal on the 1st night was poor and uneatable ,It wasn’t the staff serving fault and they did their best to make amends .

Excellent location on the seafront. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
On arrival back at the hotel at midnight one evening during our four night stay there had been some sort of emergency (no details given) and we were told that we had to pack up our belongings and move from floor 1 to floor 3. We later read that the fire brigade had been called earlier in the evening to reports of smoke coming from the hotel. It seemed strange that we weren't evacuated, just moved higher up. Safety is the only thing that matters, but there was very little information given and I feel it would have been appropriate to offer some sort of voucher or compensation. Also, each evening the bar seemed very poorly stocked.

Comfortable beds and great breakfast. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
The sink drained very slowly and sometimes the toilet flush button got stuck but these were the only minor issues. Nothing to spoil a good stay.

Staff were brilliant, in particular the receptionist Delphi who was fantastic under difficult circumstances beyond her control.
Our family room wasn't ready until early evening. It was tipping it down with rain, we were drenched with two cold children and nowhere to change as our room wasn't ready. Ended up having to go out for an early dinner as our room still wasn't ready.

Breakfast, and an extremely helpful staff, with a big smile on their faces.
Checked in the hotel. Had a room, what was very small with a view on a backside of a building, and some engines on a roof. Went downstairs, asked for another room, and got it which was better higher up the building, with a better view. But the room it self, had some stains on the wall, the ceiling around the window looks like it’s never been cleaned. The TV was from the prehistoric time, didn’t work or partially, with the channels lagging a lot, and the antenne cable was damaged, and couldn’t fit in the tv. So couldn’t even use that properly. I would expect a better room for the £300 I paid for just 2 days, what is in my opinion absurd for a hotel, what is not even worth that…

Nice vibe at the hotel and really lovely staff. Lovely view and fairly clean.
My child found a paracetamol under the sofa. We were told we were going to have a bigger room but when we got there they said it had been take so we were cramped in. Not easy with an ADHD child who needs space to play!

Location was pretty good on sea front but a little far from the centre for elderly parents to walk. I guess you can’t have it all. Front facing room with balcony was wonderful. Breakfast was excellent and though busy it was well organised with a very good selection of food hot and cold.
Side sea view room was a bit tired and the double glazing was completely gone so any view was misted over. Bathroom was tiny, extra small bath.
We asked reception for a restaurant menu and were told it was on the board. This spoiled our holiday as there was nothing suitable for coeliacs on the board. This turned out not to be the case as we discovered on our last day, there was an extensive menu inside the restaurant itself. Most annoying.

Our room was as expected. The breakfast was buffet style and there was a good selection. The location was perfect for what we wanted, not far from the town with a great view of the beach and a good seating area outside.
When we checked in on Sunday afternoon the girl on the desk was not very helpful. Did not tell us our room number or about the evening meal voucher which we were supposed to pick up. Also between the hours of 10am and midday you cannot get any type of drink (soft/hot) from the bar area.
