The staff were courteous, very knowledgable about their town, not to mention helpful

While the hotel met our needs and was clean and comfortable, it is looking quite worn and in need of renovation. The staff were friendly and helpful. Booking a car parking space is essential if you are arriving by car since the size of the car park, which is directly in front of the hotel, is very limited. Plenty of places nearby to eat so we only had breakfast at the hotel which was quite good.
While the ground floor/reception area is in good condition, the subsequent floors need are worn and could do with a renovation. The layout of the accommodation floors are a bit of a warren with many turns and doors.

It had character
It was clean.
The care around making sure it was tidy and the refreshments. Offering a bottle of water with a note to say why was a nice touch like the tea bags in nice containers. Take away coffee cups were also there. I was only there one night but a walk to the beach with one I imagine is a nice feature.
Don’t go down the lane next door if following google maps to find it. :) it will take you to the beach. The hotel is right next to the lane and on the main road.

Convenient location. Nice view from dining room
Bathroom smelt damp. Sink light not working. Light over bed flickered. Breakfast layout inconvenient
