Staff all very pleasant and welcoming. Historic building right in the centre of Shipston, so very handy for local shops/cafes. Food was excellent. Bar area is spacious and welcoming.
Marketplace can get a bit crowded/noisy if you have a room at the front as its directly opposite Coop which is super-busy all of the time. 1st floor rooms / corridor overlooks the skylight and airconditioning units at the back, and there is a terrible pigeon problem with feathers and poo everywhere - just frost the windows guys then we don't have to look at that when we walk back to our room. Needed to remind the staff to service the room as it wasn't done on our first night. Linen bags left lying about in the corridor also made the place look untidy.

The property was well maintain clean tidy
The breakfast was great and finally was in a par with the other property
I had two room one of the rooms had a known issues with the smoke detectors and the steam from the shower which they mad very clear and advised use to make sure we shut the bathroom door
We had no issues with our stay
The picture provided are a good representation
The mattress was very soft but it was comfortable just not my choice and mattress

The overall ambience of the place was nice and comfortable. The staff were efficient and friendly.
The menu was pricey and limited. Having stayed before i found things had changed and not for the better. My husband and i both had the eggs Benedict for breakfast but the eggs were not fully cooked and the meal was a bit on the warm side instead of hot. Later that day i had a bad stomach upset which i can only put down to the breakfast. We booked a deluxe room which didn’t feel particularly deluxe unless putting a bath in the room made it so. I felt that the prices had increased but there were too many cutbacks . The breakfast buffet had stopped so again limited choice for the price. We stayed two nights but our room wasn’t serviced properly as our cups were dirty and we were not supplied with water and more tea. Also no biscuits on arriving and during our stay. Disappointing .
