Great place to stay in Kinsale

Super clean rooms. The staff were pleasant. Lovely location and scenery. Ten minutes by car to Kinsale Town.

The breakfast needs improvement. Not that it's a self service buffet, everywhere does that now. Just more care, and quality food. But I expect that everywhere in fairness. Hospitality sectors are still recovering after the last few years.

Couldn't recommend this hotel any more, truly exceptional

The staff are exceptional, they really do go above and beyond - incredibly professional and attentive - have never seen anything like it - by far the best hotel staff I've ever come across The view from the restaurant is amazing, the seats are very comfortable, and the food for both breakfast and dinner was perfect - couldn't fault any of it Overall just such a relaxed environment, it's a real luxury staying here - I stayed here 4 months ago and before I'd left I had already booked in again - I don't usually go back to the same place twice because I like to try new things - but I'll definitely be back here again

Pleasant

I found the staff friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable

I didn't like the breakfast the service was poor, tables were dirty and the selection for breakfast was poor The bread was stale and cheap..... I was told on my second morning I'd have to wait for a table 5 or 10mins so I sat at the high stooled table and there were plenty of tables free but no one cleaning them..

Hotel not quite all ok. Almost there.

Magnificent views from bar/dining room.

Poor service at evening meal. Main course returned. Duck so tough could not be cut. Maitre d said he was able to cut it with a sharper knife !! Put into disabled room without comment/explanation.

Peaceful and stunning scenery

Relaxing and friendly staff. Lovely pool and spa area. Was nice to chill out at the pool before breakfast. Breakfast perfect excellent selection Lovely grounds

relaxing retreat

lovely place. grounds have trails to water. food great. staff all great. it’s a bit out of kinsale so once we were in we were in.

it was very nice but so warm. they brought us a fan. perfect

The spectacular views of the river and oyster haven bay from room 303. Breakfast was fab and great selection.

Distance from Kinsale and those ramps coming on to hotel.

Welcoming staff at reception, pool, playground, clean room and helpful housekeepers, quietness and relaxing surroundings and park area. Family friendly hotel.

Could become a chic place with a bit of renovation

Remote and quiet. Staff was very nice and friendly. Food at the restaurant was also tasty.

Quite in a need of a cosmetic touch ups. Curtains broken, carpet had iron burn stains, shower door not closing, tables were sticky, wallpapers peeled. There was also a damp smell in the room. So all these issues could be fixed with a renovation.

Perfect to plug out of the matrix and enjoy views of the river Bandon.

The room was good value for money. It's a beautiful setting with great views for the river Bandon. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located too far outside of Kinsale to walk and they do not provide a shuttle. A taxi is needed to go anywhere.

Beautiful place for a break .

beautiful location . spa was excellent also

could have better menu choices for gluten free vegetarian diners. My husband ordered mussels but these were served without a spare bowl for the shells and a finger bowl ! These comments are intended to be constructive and helpful. The young lady who served us ( a young French lady) was very helpful . The whole experience was lovely and we will come again

Food Fabolous, rooms spotless.

Extremely cold in lobby and bar. Very uncomfortable to sit there. Such a pity as fantastic views. Lots of very young staff who seem to have very little training in bar and restaurant

Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable room.

Too far from kinsale to walk, but info said shuttle available, this was not the case. Long wait for taxi to and from kinsale. We still had a great time but might be a factor for other guests who wanted to head into kinsale but had no transport.
