Full-fledged all inclusive experience. If one simply aims to sunbathe and enjoy facilities, it has everything a family might think of doing.
But the resort is somewhat isolate (or at least pricey to get around), makes it hard to experience Mexico itself. Also, service is just good enough so that you can't complain, but certainly not stellar as price may imply. Same applies to food: both in buffets and restaurants, you can expect mostly decent but seldom excellent.

We SO appreciated them working with us regarding the specific room request following two foot surgeries! Very kind!
The property was clean and beautiful. The food was pretty good. The gym was absolutely gorgeous and the shows were fun and pretty quality. We were well cared for and were grateful they fixed the problem with our shower pretty quickly.
Trying to get into our room each time! Had to twist our arms just so to get the arm band to register. (The corner wall was right there in the way). The last day a helper showed us we had to lift the handle slightly and real fast and then push down to open!! What a pain!
The resort was a bit big for our family of 10 to stay connected and the buffets would not allow us to push tables together.
Could park our car ONLY at one to two lots out of 5-6 along the various Barcelo resorts, but had tons of open spaces??(Some things were quite a walk and I got a terrible blister). One of the most FRUSTRATING things is their dance place didn't open until 11pm. This is just plain wrong! Should be by 9ish! We LOVE to dance but were too tired to go at that time.

the room was well located.
the food … absolutely not up to expectations.
In booking we had reserved a room of 133 m2 when in reality we had a room of 55 m2 and after insisting on the 2nd evening they agreed to make an upgrade supposedly out of courtesy. In reality it seemed that a description error was present in booking. what is the customer responsible for? customer oriented approach was to offer something in compensation of the room we used.
algae sargassum… it’s impracticable… we came for the beach. over 4 days … only 2 days tractors cleared … and why only 2 days? we pay a sum of 475 usd every day for not having a passable beach?
ok there is a swimming pool but there are swimming pools in my country. No need to come so far and pay so much
