The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Have stayed before and had a lovely room with a view. The room for the last stay was at the back of a unit. It was small with view of a walkway. The aircon unit was too small to deal with the solar gain.
Guess I didn't read the description well enough because I had stayed before. Bottom line was could have gotten a lot more for the price. Stayed in a place that was $100 cheaper per night on our return to Queenstown and although older was much more pleasant and way better value.
Overall very disappointed.

good sized room.
1. my studio villa was by Frankton road and there was a LOT of noise from the traffic. Unpleasant surprise. 2. the breakfast was prepared cold and left in our fridge the night before. It was not worth the money we paid. ($15 pp per day)

We enjoyed the great Bathroom amenities
The laundry being able to be utilised by anyone at anytime of the day, even at ungodly hours of the night (eg. 11pm - 1am both washing machine and dryer!!!)
This is extremely unfair for anyone with a bedroom directly outside the laundry facilities… Paying customers should be guaranteed a laundry sound free sleep regardless of quality of room. Unfortunately the quality of your neighbours can influence the quality of your stay quite drastically.

Location
Property was wayyyyy overpriced for what was offered. Room was very low grade with broken items aplenty. Gas Fire place spontaneously exploded, throwing stones onto the floor. Staff were great about moving us but being told we ‘got a free upgrade’ wasn’t really a ‘free upgrade’ when there was scaffolding and debris from roof work all over
The balcony, so couldn’t use it anyway. $413.10 for a night was outrageous for what we got. Would not stay again.

The appartment was clean and facilities good
The road to cross has no crossings and was very busy

Location
First of all, the staff is very rude and have no manners talking to customer. It should not be rated 5 star by booking.com.
And worst thing is went we reached the property, there was no one to help us with the luggage. And they tell me that air conditioning in one room is not functioning. So I ask what can they do for me, they said nothing can be done and just say sorry.
Another thing is the breakfast. They charge me 80 NZD for a loaf of bread and some jam and milk. But when I booked in booking.com they said it’s continent breakfast.
The worst thing is the staff had no manners.
When I was telling them about my problem, the 2
Staff took it as a joke and laugh together in front of me.
I would like booking.com to investigate how did they give this hotel a 5 star rating.

They stored our luggage and spool was ok but only 1 for large complex
Access from car parking to rooms is difficult with many stairs or very steep ramp. The studio is tiny and has no lake view

There was an excellent view of the lake. However road just in front had heavy traffic
Was a bit too much light in the room

view and parking
Spa out of order when that what we wanted. Poor result

Clean, ample parking, comfortable
Location, on a busy main road. A little bit too far from centre to comfortably walk into town each night to eat. Nothing else locally to walk to.

Accommodation is located in the city and well maintained
We couldn't come on the said date due to flight cancelation and it wasn't considered for refund. We have checked if there is any option but it was not answered properly. Promised spa service was also broken for the full week and we couldn't use it

I felt comfortable and well looked after. I stayed in the Alpine studio although there weren't many views we still enjoyed the room and how homey it felt. Favorite part was probably the shower and bath.

The beds
The place is outdated and things were broken. I feel you'd get better value for money in a hostel. Be careful with the shower, you turn it on and the hose squirts up and looses control

convenient location and not too busy around it

No handicap accessible rooms. I was with a family member who walked with the aid of a walking stick. In order to get into our room we had to park in the garage, get our bags and then walk up stairs that was the equivalent of 2 regular staircases and then walk up another flight of stairs. No regular TV. My elderly family member was not able to shower because the bath tub had a very high side that she was not able to climb over.

Great view, well appointed.
Easter weekend, staff non responsive to us about heating issue. If they checked never told us.
Spa does not have parking if you are in far building, seriously???
Walk to downtown would be a challenge unless you are an experiencedbackpacker!!

it was clean and close to town
We were in a tiny room that doesn’t at all look like any of the pictures. decent coffee and tea with the ‘breakfast’ would have been nice

I like the location and car parking
The bed wasn't comfy, not a cutlery provider and not enough butter and jam for breakfast, the carpet was quite dirty and it was a struggle to shut the door because the carpet and also blind didn't close properly on the bottom side.

Was a great place to stay for the night before taking off to Sydney the next day. Relaxing and clean. Thank you!

my review is based on an alpine room which wasn’t very good. the following night we stayed in a Lakeview room which was great - I’ll review that separately
no real reception area, and it was closed when we got there at 9.30pm despite advertising a 10pm closing time.
the bed had a hard plastic lump under the mattress protector that was very uncomfortable and kept me awake. I think it may have been the plug of a power cord.
the “bath” was clearly designed by someone who didn’t take baths. it was useless as a bath and just made it difficult to get into the shower
the room was really small
the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly

Room was clean.
I am giving a bad review simply because the accommodation was misleadingly advertised as 5 star which it isn't. The Alpine room was very tiny, dark, and noisy - could basically hear what the neighbours next door were doing. The room was not suitable for 2 people with luggage! We had barely space opening our suitcases and needed to leave all our belongings on the floor because there was just not enough space. Furniture such as bedside table, desk, chair etc. all looked very used with scratches and marks. Tiles in the bathroom cracked, toilet brush holder rusty etc. On top of that, we had no view. The only window was point in the direction of where other patrons where walking past to their rooms, so we needed to keep the shutters closed at all times. There was also no gym on-site, and a single Jacuzzi for the entire accommodation block! Also when we wanted to speak to a manager about our concerns the reception wasn't very helpful and said there was no one onsite. In the end I was given a $400 refund, however I still find even with the refund the room was still heavily overpriced.

The staff were friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable and the location was good.
No hairdryer in the room. When we got one from reception, it did not work and sounded like it was going to blow up.
We found the ironing board in the entrance, but again, no iron. Reception was able to provide us with one. We also had to ask for a couple of clothes hangers. These are standard in most motels and were listed as being in the room but were not.
The kettle was also faulty and could not reach the boil.
Also, while the room was clean, the glasses, cups, and plates were not. Plates had a layer of dust. Nearly every plate was chipped, and one even came with a complimentary pubic hair!
At $712 for two nights, I expected much better.

we have stayed before & was just the same as post Covid lockdowns
there was only 1 coffee sachet for 2 of us, so drunk tea & these weren’t replenished which was disappointing for the money paid for 2 nights stay

We liked the ensuites, comfy beds, chrome cast & dishwasher. The location was good. We enjoyed the fresh fruit & yoghurt for breakfast. The apartment was clean & the staff were friendly.
There was only enough percolated coffee for one drink. They're were four of us and we stayed for 2 nights. There was no milk & the museli needed to be topped up for the second day of our stay. The drive needs to be sealed.

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Conwebs on outside, unemptied cigarette pot on porch, unsealed steep driveway, very steep hill walk back from town.
4.0
The house was okay but if it had the view promised, I would have been happier.
The view.. you see just the road and if you stand by the window and try seeing some lake around, you might just find it. But else, save yourself and book somewhere else which has better views for similar rates.

Great location, clean and tidy
Not at all worth the price for 3 nights , so small, lack of lighting and we couldn't get tv going, would not go back

Not much
Too close to Queenstown. Room too small. Carparking annoying. People using the laundry outside our room at 11pm! Get a Kiwi receptionist.
