Exceptional

Perfect central location, surrounded by all the restaurants and shops. Situated next to stunning Lake Wakatipu. Extremely helpful staff, with good breakfast.

If you are every going to treat yourself to an amazing experience this is the place to do it.

From the moment you walked into Eichardt’s you were treated like nothing was a problem for the staff to help you with. The service from all staff was exceptional. The view from the property is sensational.

we got the apartment which was not part of the hotel and it was very dark and dated and not worth the money at all.

Great for a family or group of friends.

Eichardt’s Residence is a three storey apartment, set away from the hotel. It is beautiful, well appointed, and has a predominantly uninterrupted view of the Remarkables and lake.

Because it is not close to the hotel, services that hotel guests would normally be offered (I have stayed at Eichardt’s main hotel before), were not. The house was not serviced daily, there was no turn down service and no room service available. Normally, I’d rate the lack of these extras as a first world problem, however; at a rate of NZD$2500+ a night, I think it’d be fair to expect what every other hotel guest would be offered. Staff are clearly doing their best but it is clear they are stretched.

The breakfast food. Over cooked.. my last breakfast uchedone beautiful poached egg and one so hard cooked I think it come off the last 2 plates.

Great location, but a pretentious hotel that is let down by the quality of the food and restaurant

Location fabulous. Restaurant very ordinary family style restaurant. We were very disappointed in the quality of the retaurant

The restaurant needs a massive makeover. There is no special area for hotel guests who have paid a lot of money for a room at this hotel.

the best location in Queenstown, right on the waterfront makes it a unique experience

bath plug did not work, too late in the middle of the night to follow up however a surprise for a Lux. accomodation. I n a minor factor…everything else was sensational.

A very nice hotel, well worth it if you know not book room 4 or 5.

The room was very comfortable, the hotel is lovely and well placed, the staff are excellent and very friendly both in the bar, the restaurant and within the hotel itself.

Our room looked into Attica Bar, not a mountain view, this is misleading in the booking. Also we were there on a Friday and Saturday night and that room was right across from a very loud bar which stays open very late, it certainly was not what we expected and we did not have a restful sleep. That room should not be charged at that rate, its impossible to sleep at all with that noise and you do reserve a room to sleep. The first night our room was over hot and it was hard to work the A/C, the second night the sky light above the bed did not have its cover pulled so not only was it loud but by the time we finally did sleep we were woken as the light streamed into the room right down on us. Had it not been for those 2 incidents and the noise (and view) it would have been exceptional.

Simply stunning

Everything was perfect, room size, fixtures, fittings, bathroom, bed. And the location, you couldn’t be closer to the heart of things in Queenstown.

Great place for a special occasion

The property is amazing, how ever what really sets it apart are the staff, it was our wedding in Queenstown, and we were made to feel like royalty the moment we walked through the door we will for ever be great full . Kindest Regards Rod&Lilly
