great staff. very friendly and helpful
tiny bathroom
I was not given option of earlier breakfast as we arrived last of the guests. we were given the second to last time slot. We were walking southwest coast path and wanted to leave early. It would be better if the hotel contacted you on booking and asked re breakfast times

Everything. The food was excellent.
Small bed. Would be perfect if the bed in room one was bigger.

We chose Port Isaac as we are Doc Martin fans. So we deliberately chose accomodation as close as possible to the dockside. Booking.com had photos and we chose a small room BUT had a view directly out to see. The Slipway did not disappoint.
Staff were very friendly and professional. "Adam" carried one of our bags to the room up the stairs. And we saw other staff do likewise for other guests. Plus a comprehensive explanation of the facilities at the Slipway and in town.
We enjoyed breakfast and also dinner and drinks. Good range of meal choices. High quality food but well priced. Definitely enjoyed their wines, beer and I think some spirits!
There is no parking onsite but there is access to offload luggage. We knew that before arrival and there are two public car parks in town. We left the car in the paid car park for two days. No issues with safety. And a short walk back down the hill.
The Slipway was an ideal place to wander the back alleys of town and explore. Plus it was an ideal point to commence our walk from Port Isaac via the coastal path to Polzeath. Fabulous views.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Slipway. The location, facilities and the friendliness of the staff really made this a great experience. Highly recommended.
No complaints at all.

this is a fabulous stay. authentic historic pub right on the water in the middle of town. could not have been better and the staff were all super friendly. the included breakfast was amazing as well, best French toast I have ever had.
nothing, even the long walk to the car park was worth it as you got to appreciate the town as you walk in and out.

Dodgy shower.

Location is excellent
No hot water at times. Told staff and they said it was due to kitchen using it all. Fair enough it happens. Next day they never even checked if everything was ok.

We had a lovely stay here - perfect location with the most amazing view from our window! It's one of the most beautiful villages I've visited and this hotel is in the best spot. The room was beautiful and so well prepared for guests - the breakfast was amazing, hot meals home cooked to order and lots more available on buffet. Thanks so much for our lovely stay

excellent location.
delicious breakfast.
comfortable room.
bathroom was very small due to the size and configuration of the room, however this was mentioned in the booking information. The small bathroom was not a problem for me but I imagine it wouldn’t be appropriate for a large person or someone with mobility difficulties.

The ambience and history of the property was just special dating from the early 1500s. The members of staff that we briefly met were helpful and one in particular assisted us in answering the few questions that we had. Due to the time of year, there was little interaction however the process of entering and leaving the property was well explained. After asking a simple question in regard to accessing a table to play a board game on, the reception member of staff moved us to Room 1 which was much bigger than Room 2 - we were extremely grateful as we had booked 3 nights and to be honest not looking forward to staying in the small room for a further 2 nights.
Room 2 was extremely small (for the price we paid); we basically had to climb past the bed to reach the cupboard like set up for using the bathroom. We had to dry ourselves in the very small bedroom area as we could not fit in bathroom to dry ourselves. Limited space to hang wet coats - needed to be inventive!

the bed was super comfortable.
The breakfast was cooked perfectly.
Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed for the winter. However we had a fantastic meal and a few drinks at the local Golden Lion pub.

Breakfast was very good, plenty and very tasty. Location beautiful, very quaint village and magnificent coastline. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful.
Lack of parking at the hotel, but was only to be expected when staying in such a small coastal town.
