Great Stay at Yas Island Rotana Hotel

I liked the check-in / check-out experience, friendly staff, good room with good view and a very good location of the hotel since it was like 2 minutes walking distance away from the Free Yas Express Shuttle stop which would take us to the Yas Island attractions free.

Dissatisfied stay at Rotana Yas Island

Nothing just staff was overall good at room service and guest service, valet and concierge.

Main reception under construction so access is long for valet. We tried the parking later and very small and tight for big cars. Also only one elevator that takes you to G floor. Then yiou need to change. I did two bookings b2b and the first was 3x times more expensive, definitely not worth it. Anyhow, checking was okay but they couldnt merge the bookings at check in so had to change cards despite asking to get it sorted at checkin.There was drilling and hammering going on so we couldnt rest as soon as we got there despite our complaints. Instead several managers kept calling us and caused further interruptions to our nap. Remember travelling with kids! Room had little storage for a family with two children or even for a couple. Bathroom had open shades from outside, who does that!! There was someone smoking in another room and no one could stop him, smoke was on hallway and made it to rooms when you open the door. On last day, hotel asked me to pay again for last day breakfast and someones else's bar bill. I mean no one even checked that it was paid and the other bill wasnt ours. Horrible experience for such a well known hotel. Breakfast was alright, nothing amazing. Overall, room service was acceptable and staff okay especially cleaning and valet staff.

Disappointing for a relatively high price

Good location. Nice sports bar.

Room was noisy despite being a suite. Across corridor from staff room which was regularly in use with noisy doors. Renovation work ongoing which was not mentioned in the booking.com description Gym was in another hotel so a long walk. Room card didn’t open gym door so had to return to reception. Room was not very clean and had eyesore cladding boxes outside blocking the view

A lovely hotel close to the airport and Yas island

It is super close to the airport and has a lovely view of parts of the Yas marina circuit and Ferrari world. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly!

The balcony was very dusty but I can’t expect much given it is a desert after all… otherwise

Very bad experience

The location

1) I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids from booking. I was surprised at checkin that they want to charge me for additional bed. I refused and kindly the guy talked to his manager and said it is only one night and we can give it for free as if they are doing me a favour. 2) Bed and bed linen were not clean. 3) the extra bed was so hard like a prison bed and my son couldn’t sleep on it. Room service people lack basic hygiene and I am sorry to say that.. but we couldn’t even stand their smell when they came into the room

Quite and clean atmosphere. Will be great for families. Good breakfast selection at choices buffet 😋

A pleasant weekend stay!

Breakfast is very good. Access to theme parks. Facilities are up to date. Enjoyed the sauna.

So far everything is very good except that pool is open bit late. We would love to have early swimming before breakfast but pool is still close at 7 AM . We have to take our breakfast first before going for a quick relaxation at the pool.

good stay for a stop-over

Very clean and comfortable, great breakfast and amazing stuff.

One has to take a shuttle bus to the beach and walk back or take a taxi as there’s no shuttle going back to the hotel. self-brought drinks (water) are not allowed to the beach which is terrible as the weather is extremely hot.

The manager, Khaled was really humble, accomodating and friendly! Our family had so much fun and plenty of time to bond and relax. We'll definitely go back!

Good location, but getting dated.

Great location on Yas island. The pool with bar is great. Rooms are spacious and welcoming.

Maintenance is lacking a bit. Blinds are broken, some lighting switches don't function. The faucets only gave hot water, cold water wasn't functioning properly.

Incredible holiday in a perfect location, friendly welcoming staff and lovely food

The location of the rotana is perfect for all the leisure parks and lots of options for places to eat on the Yas Plaza. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay with our 3 young children
