Overall, everything was fine and the hotel provides a good standard of service and facilities. The buffet always had a wide selection of salads, hot dishes, snacks and desserts. I particularly appreciated the separate kids’ corner
, where children could easily find familiar options such as nuggets, meatballs and fries. There was also ice cream available.
Our room was spacious and conveniently divided into two areas, which was very comfortable for a family with children. The swimming pool was nice, and the beach is very close to the hotel. There is also a good spot nearby where you can go snorkeling.
Unfortunately, two things significantly affected our overall experience.
First, the towel system is unnecessarily complicated and inconvenient. Pool/beach towels are only available from 10:30 am, so if you arrive late in the evening, you cannot get a towel the next morning before 10:30. To receive a towel, you have to hand in a yellow card, which you then have to return; otherwise, you are charged a fee. You can also exchange your towel only once per day. On one occasion, we came in the evening to exchange our towels, but there were no clean towels left, so we had to wait until 10:30 the next morning. We have stayed at many hotels where pool towels are simply freely available throughout the day, without this kind of complicated system. In my opinion, this would be a much better and more guest-friendly approach.
Second, there was very loud music and entertainment after 11:00 pm on Saturday. Even with the windows closed, the noise was clearly audible in our room and affected our sleep. Of course, some guests may enjoy late-night entertainment, but the hotel should also consider guests who go to bed earlier, especially families with children.

We had a wonderful stay at Cavo Maris Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. The hotel has a beautiful location, lovely surroundings, and a relaxing atmosphere.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with a smile. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we really enjoyed the facilities.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday! 🌴☀️

Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price.
First of all, the name is quite misleading. This is not a beach hotel. The property is located by the sea and close to a beach, but it does not have its own beach. It would be much more accurate to describe it as a seaside hotel.
The photos also create a somewhat misleading impression. Many of them appear to show beautiful sunset views over the sea, while this side of the island does not actually face the sunset. These photos seem to have been taken at sunrise, which creates a very different expectation of the location and views.
Before arrival, I specifically requested, if available, a quiet room on a higher floor with a king-size bed. At check-in, we were initially given a room on the second floor directly overlooking the pool. When I politely asked whether a higher and quieter room was available, the supervisor/manager responded with a surprisingly unfriendly attitude, saying that we had been upgraded and that if we did not want the upgrade, we could have a standard room instead. I explained that I appreciated the upgrade, but that a quiet room on a higher floor was more important to me, as stated in my original request. The room was eventually changed, but the interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant.
The room itself was clean and generally fine, but nothing exceptional. There was not even complimentary drinking water in the room, and the refrigerator barely cooled anything.
Service on arrival was also disappointing. We had several suitcases, but nobody came to assist us when we arrived or offered to help with the luggage. I eventually had to specifically ask for assistance.
The reception area looks old and worn and does not give the impression suggested by the hotel’s photos or price category. The so-called spa is also very limited: apart from the indoor pool, facilities such as the sauna require an additional payment.
