The room was big and, along with the bathroom, it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked well. It was very convenient to Gare du Nord - a few minutes walk. They provided ear plugs, but we didn't use them and didn't hear any trains. There was tea and coffee in the room.
The area was fine, but we had a difficult time finding a restaurant where we could just have a small meal - but there were plenty of eateries, though nothing upscale if that's what you're looking for.

Very comfortable bed, facilities seemed new and it was very clean. Staff very helpful
The noise of the trains but by the end we quite liked it. And it's manageable with earplugs. Quite a small room but that was ok.

location is very central to everything, and not in a touristy way. its around numerous subway stops, walkable to bigger touristy locations
my room was ground level, and the first room upon entering, a lot of people noise and I was solo, so there were safety concerns. male front desk staff weren't the nicest. they kept inquiring whether I was solo or not, and it made me feel a little concerned. at the 'honesty' machine, I was told I had to pay right then and there and to go and get the items myself.
