Clean property, close to restaurants

The breakfast was mini croissants and pan au chocolats, a few cold mini pancakes, bread for toast that was quite dry (with a an ancient toaster, the type that either barely toasts it or burns it to a crisp lol), corn flakes, musli, chocolate flakes, yogurt, dried fruit, jam, questionable scrambled egg and bacon, meats and cheeses. "Vegetable milk" was offered as a dairy free alternative but I couldn't tell you what sort of vegan milk it was. The staff were really welcoming and helpful..
The decor is really dated, apart from the breakfast area. The lift is tiny, room for 2 people and their cases at a squeeze. The room was pretty small, and the beds were so hard. The pillows were actually cushions (or the size of cushions) and really hard. I did not sleep well. The shower was really low down and the water temperature tempremental. The TV remote was really grubby. The bath towels were small.

We were welcomed by Walid who was exceptionally helpful. The room was a little tired and rather basic, but this is reflected in the price and if you're in Paris, you probably aren't spending much time in the room anyway. The bed was comfortable and we had a great view from room 303 and watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle from our window on the first night which was magical.
The neighbourhood is really clean and safe, and is well connected via the bus network. There are some great bakeries and places to eat just a short walk away but it's also easy to jump on the bus and be at Grand Palais in 30 minutes or so!
The only actual complaint about the room was that the shower temperature is very inconsistent so you are either freezing or being scalded. The air con/ heating delivery was inconsistent and would blow out cold air when heat was required. The bath didn’t have a plug if you wanted to have a soak and internal noise pollution can be heard in the room from neighbouring rooms. External noise pollution from the road was excellent with hardly no noise leakage into the room.

The receptionist and the breakfast ladies are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and enough.
The charged deposit was refunded on the evening of departure.
It was a surprise that upon arrival they charge your card with a deposit of 150 euros, but it is refunded on the evening of departure. This is not written on the website. The pictures are old, some of them do not reflect reality.
