Nice location, good food, expensive but value for money

It’s truly a magical building and very well renovated.

Service was just poor for a 3 star and this was a 5 star. I think the staff are just not trained.

Concierge service was excellent . Thanks Claire for organizing all mine wine tours!!!

Nice building although safe didn't work and multi-channel TV could not receive English channels.

We had booked dinner at the hotel for the night of our arrival via Booking. com. The reception staff raised with us that we had not booked dinner and told us they were fully booked for dinner that night and our second and only other night! We showed them our communication with Booking.com. The response was simply that they had not received it and they were full for dinner - end of story! They eventually decided to go through a charade of speaking to their manager to no avail and subsequently suggested they would speak to the restaurant manager who was due to arrive some time later. As expected no flexibility/dinner reservation, nor any concern or expression of regret. They then said they would help us find a restaurant in St Emilion. One suggested was closed, the other full. We eventually sorted something. Consequently we had just one glass of wine each while we waited for the restaurant manager's response and then didn't bother to eat or drink anything further at the hotel over the 2 day stay as we just felt totally unwelcome and of no consequence. Not what we would have expected of a hotel with their obvious pretentions. Naturally we shall not be staying there again or recommending the hotel to anyone.

The dining room and porch were amazing. Loved the ambience. Staff couldn't have been nicer.

The gym was not available as it was still being finished and could be a litte larger.

beautiful place to stay 1 lady at reception somewhat helpful ,but not enough to help with dinner reservations,none available except room service very sad!

property was great,however staff not very welcoming especially Maître d’/ manager actually asked what do you want at breakfast,not in the nicest way.we were not able to get dinner in town, the previous night 4)restaurants turned us away before 9pm I heard of eating early but ridiculous for Europe’s dinner schedule
