Loved the beautiful old buildings that the hotel occupies. The Annex room was very spacious, great bathroom and excellent buffet breakfast included in the room rate. It’s also in an excellent location close to both the centre of the old town and the walking trails through the Forrest and up to the Castle.
The only thing missing was a kettle! We would have loved to be able to make a cup of tea late in the day.

Great location and proximity to rail station
Icy road on approach wasnt easy as the road curved almost 180 upwards but there was too much ice for a safe climb.
There was no water boiler in the room - for warm water or to make tea - which we expect as standard when we pay so much.
Seating capacity in breakfast room wasnt what you expect when you pay so much per night.
Breakfast spread and quality was nothing to write home about and certainly below expectation when you pay so much.
