Best place to stay in South Goa

it’s TAJ!!! the name and brand itself is enough to describe what an amazing place it is exceeded our expectations in all aspects.. be it the room, breakfast, lush green lawns (for golf and other sports), the pool (which has a huge baby pool for kids as well) and of course, the private beach

Was a good one time experience.

Property landscape was beautiful. Chefs were very courteous. Food was OK - many dishes were repeated during our stay.

The room was not clean for a 5-star property. There was a pile of dust under the bed! The size of the room was also not very large for the price point.

Great venue. needs a bit of an update asthetically … shame about lack of internal communications

well organised though getting a buggy when it was hot (which it was) was sometime hard

the beach ‘lobster shack’ was unavailable. no one told us this at the point of booking. there were NO lingers for use in the beach.. bit odd considering this was a private beach? they totally messed up a planned romantic dinner for me and my partner.. disappointing

The staff were superb.

The staff were AMAZING. The room was superb.

We went slightly before peak season had started so the beachside bar of the hotel wasn’t open yet nor were the beach shacks, as licences aren’t granted until mid October. Drinks in the hotel were very very expensive compared to restaurants outside of the hotel.

Beautiful location. Still has the old charm with modern amenities.

FOOD- The food as part of the full board was very ordinary. Expected better quality and more options. Lacked taste and imagination to be honest. On the other hand, the food ordered through room service was exceptionally good. So, somewhere something is amiss. SPA- Therapists were fabulous. But a strange thing happened to my friend after her therapy. The roof in the shower area started to collapse on her head. They did offer a 20% discount to compensate. Wish they hadn’t bothered as it belittled the gravity of the situation.

We regularly come last 14 years because we are emotionally attached and attracted to this property

Breakfast was good and a good spread of Indian and Continental dishes.

I would not like to comment.....its all in the family having stayed and come so many times last 14 years.

5 star for hotel staff especially chef Naveen ,Branden at reception, creson in the restaurant these 3 made my stay more

Relaxed and Rejuvenated.

All are good....but food quality is something to be looked at. Not a good value for money. Overall it is good.

Room was something that I did not like. If you book from Booking.com there will always be a catch in the room reflected and actual.

Very good

The property grounds, the beach and the facilities were amazing. It's a vast and beautiful resort, and very well maintained. The staff was very hospitable and went out of their way to accommodate our every need. Special mention for Kimberly from Miguel Aranjo restaurant, and Johnson, the golf instructor.

The food could have been better. It wasn't bad, per se, but you expect a bit more when paying top dollar for the dishes. Access to the beach is closed after 8, but it beats the purpose of having a private beach resort. They should allow supervised beach access for the guests. And although the service was good, we felt that different departments weren't coordinated enough, so we had to repeat some of our requests multiple times.

Excellent experience!!!

Everything, from Food to service to activities, all were great! For the kids activities room, Ms. Narmin was very engaging with the kids, making it fun time for them.

Beautiful resort with unparalleled customer service

Such a beautiful resort. Sprawling grounds. Beach was clean. Food was just amazing. Complimentary tea and pakoras was a nice surprise. And to top it all, one do the finest Curtis we service. Special call out for Prasanjit at Sala Da Pranzo

Superb

Our second visit, albeit the first one was 8 years ago. We loved the property and its beach access, and we still do. It's one of the best highlights. The service is as expected of a Taj brand,the food spread at their buffets is not lavish but covers all taste buds and most cuisines to provide a good wholesome meal. They do have a lot of activities, but the weather, of course, was not very conducive to explore all of them and the green expanse of well manicured lawn that spreads from the rooms towards the sea is a sight for sore eyes. We had opted for the sea view rooms, which amplified that visual treat. Lastly the help and care they extended to my mother when she hurt her leg at the beach shows the level of hospitality one can expect from a Taj property , very thankful and grateful for it. We were there to celebrate my daughter's 10th bday, and she did have a memorable one.

The pool, though great in terms of the size and access, could do with a refurbish around some areas, especially the tiles on the pool floor.

Lovely staff. Poor management who didn’t provide a cash machine

The golf was brilliant. We had an exceptional golf coach called Johnson. He taught my wife to play from scratch and improved my game Elvin was amazing. He arranged our excellent tours with local taxis at a great rate. Diksha was a lovely manager who helped us alot

No cash machine in the hotel! We had to in a taxi driving round to banks where the ATP worked which wasted our holiday time!
