About this house rental
Located in Whidbey Island, this lovely house for $550 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. The home has a spacious open floor plan with vaulted ceilings throughout. There is a free standing propane fireplace, flat screen tv with soundbar and plenty of living room space to relax after a day of playing in the large yard or walking for miles on the sandy beach. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and features a large dining table with seating for eight. A queen bed is in the main level bedroom, for those that don't want to deal with stairs. The large upstairs master bedroom has a king bed and a great view of the shipping lanes & sunsets. The second upstairs bedroom has a double bed & two twin beds for those families with a lot of kids. The large yard has its very own horseshoe pit and there is plenty of room to play yard games. The covered deck makes it possible to enjoy a family meal at the outside table, no matter what the weather is doing! Relax on the deck, while watching an occasional eagle or osprey fly by and listening to the waves crashing on the beach. There is a freestanding firepit and a private boardwalk to your own beach, so don't forget to bring some firewood & the makings for Smores! Make sure to bring your kayaks or paddle boards, as you can launch them right from your own beach! Other amenities in the home include wifi, cable tv, a DVD/Blueray player, flat screen TV, propane bbq, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a washer & dryer. There is a community park just up the street with a playground and baseball diamond, so bring your gloves & bats if you want to play ball! The home is located almost at the end of a dead-end flat road, so bring your bicycles too! Maxwelton Beach is known as one of the best beaches on South Whidbey, to watch the gorgeous sunsets! Come create memories that will last a lifetime & enjoy all that Whidbey has to offer. We have recently started using VRBO’s rate recommendations, so the reservation rental rates may increase or decrease each day. Please note that we do not honor yesterday's rates. Please be aware there is only parking for two vehicles.

This house was a great fit for our family of three couples and one small dog to spend Thanksgiving together. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing our feast, with the turkey cooked on the barbeque grill. Beautiful setting with lovely sunrises turning the Olympics pink and sunsets creating dramatic outlines. There is good beach access. We brought our small inflatable and set crab pots, and the only downside was not getting any crab. Clean and well cared for, with reasonable requests for guests to keep it that way.

Wonderful location on a long stretch of beach. Beds are comfortable, view are magnificent, and the proximity to wildlife is fantastic. Great for a 2 family getaway. Also an easy drive to the Saturday Farmer's Market, Whidbey Island Donuts, Rocket Taco, etc. Highly recommend!

It was very clean and well equipped. We had a small family group for thanksgiving holiday. Thanks for providing basic supplies such as paper products and soap! Not everyone does as well.
Overall everything was just as presented. We did our best to follow the rules and leave everything shipshape.

The property was perfect for us including floor plan and beach access. We love to cook when we visit the island. It would have been so nice to have a complete set of measuring cups for dry ingredients and a cup for measuring liquids.

Lovely house, very consistent with the listing. The beachfront location is wonderful as is south Whidbey island (great state parks, and two amazing dog parks nearby). The fire pit was great too. If you have an inflatable paddleboard you can bring it and get right on the water (though obviously watch out for winds/tides). Low tide is amazing with lots of beach life to discover and there's a park that's walkable down the beach with swings etc. The house itself has everything you would expect and is well-kept. Note that the grass area to the beach isn't fenced, so it feels slightly communal with the other properties, but that worked out great as the kids from different houses were encouraged to play with each other. Would stay here again. Recommended.
