Clean, as you’d expect for travel and close to the train station. I walked into central Verona and it only took 20 mins.

The room was quite large with a big comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good. It is only a 10 minute walk to the train station. Staff were all friendly and polite. We could leave our bags while we explored the town.
The only thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk to the historic area.

The air conditioner only heats. They lied, saying it’s an Italian seasonal rule, but in every other hotel I’ve stayed at I could lower the temperature. Then they told me they’d turned off the heater—another lie. It was 13 °C outside; if heating were off, the room would drift toward ambient, not stay stuck at 26 °C. That’s thermodynamically impossible.
