If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Essaouira, Riad Shems Bleu is hands down the best Riad in the old town.
The location is incredibly convenient, just a 3 minute walk from the main old town gate, yet it feels entirely private, quiet, and secure once you step inside. The standards of cleanliness and service were completely exceptional.
We spent 4 nights in the Rouge Double Room, which is one of the larger rooms available. It offered plenty of space and opened up to a beautiful, large courtyard patio. We truly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Another major highlight is the roof patio where we had breakfast every morning, which offers a beautiful ocean view.
What really sets this place apart is the hospitality. The host, Sufian, was extremely attentive and helpful in every way imaginable, going above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable. To top it all off, the breakfast was a flawless 10/10 served fresh, delicious every single morning.
Highly recommended and will definitely be back!
