would stay there again

location and activities in lovely surroundings, beautiful hotel. Good breakfast buffet

small dining room and bars easily full due to the amount of accommodation. Room service/takeaway menu very limited.

Nice 2 night break in the New Forest

The Steam room was good the pool was nice if you manage to arrange to be in there when the children are not around. The breakfast was good plenty of choice and good service. Comfortable bed and quiet location, close to Lymington and restaurants

The heating system was very dated electric heater. The young children in the pool area shouting and jumping and diving in, encouraged by parents and grandparents. Not safe!

We had a lovely time with family to celebrate a 80th birthday

Breakfast was OK, the room was comfortable but in need of refurbishing, and we didn,t have dinner only a snack in the bar which was really pricey.

Ask for a downstairs room when booked with Booking .Com ,we were given an upstair room and had to negiotate a flooded footpath.

Good location and big room

The rooms are in blocks around square. Nice size and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The “spa” is a bit tired. No loungers if you were thinking of spending any time by the pool. The steam room was not working while we were there.

Pleasant hotel, needs a few pennies spending on it but the location is perfect.

Accommodation comfortable and nice touch with coffee machine. Breakfast was ok but only if you timed it well and went to buffet as you notice fresh goods coming from kitchen.

Staff attentiveness at breakfast was poor. Restrictive swimming times for children. Dinner options are a joke, unless your prepared to pay £60+ per head you need to eat off site. There used to be both the high end restaurant and a casual dining restaurant (which was more reasonable) at this hotel however they now shut the budget friendly restaurant and just serve breakfast in here. Dining options really poor for families but a positive being lots of lovely places locally to eat.

Room too far from dining room for my poor mobility. Waited over 45 minutes for evening meal which I did not enjoy

lovely setting lots of character good size outdoor pool

the breakfast area was a disappointment very canteen feel and the outside area was not used although steps and door to the area was available the hotel could definitely improve the breakfast experience

staff were helpful and kind. location was beautiful facilities were good

I wish we had been contacted before arrival to book dinner, as there was no availability, but the local pub was also very nice.

Short but sweet. Pleasant two nights stay, thank you very much.

Room was comfortable, had really nice Nescafe coffee machine and supply of capsules. Enjoyed indoors swimming pool.

Perfect place to stay in Lymington with stunning grounds

Fantastic sized room, stunning grounds, ideal location for the ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight and exploring the New Forest. Lymington is such a beautiful place.

If you're unfortunate to have people staying above you or in an adjoining room you will hear them clearly!!!

Left feeling disappointed, everything was below expectations.

good location, nice grounds.

the place needed doing up, it needs more staff to provide better level of service, the restaurant lacked finesse. Everything could have been better which is disappointing as the location and setting is good.

Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful building in a lovely location. Room was very spacious, very clean and just perfect. The only thing that bothered me was that I asked to be upstairs rather than on the ground floor but that’s not a major issue as it was amazing.

Nothing that I did not like.

We didn’t have breakfast location very good

All was really good but the down side was the pool it was a sunny afternoon so decided to sit by the pool lots of the chairs had bird poo on them pool needed cleaning and the area needed a good tidy a duck was swimming in the pool which was quite entertaining

Very good base to sightsee from. Staff were very nice and helpful, without exception.

The staff were very helpful. A pot of tea was given gratis as we had to wait over an hour for our room tone made up. The bathroom was an ice box all night long as they weren't expecting the room to be used!

We had to wait an hour for our room because I couldn't manage the stairs. The cooked breakfast on the first day was awful - it had been left standing. The second day was much better as it was help yourself, although we had to get up early to be the first ones in (so that it wasn't left standing again as I left most of it and I didn't want tone hungry on the second day).

The pool

Room was stuffy and noisy , could hear everything going on upstairs and some kind of banging pipes all night , beds were two singles put together with super large uncomfortable pillows. Breakfast options were very poor. We told the lady on check out as we left more tired than we arrived , she could not care less.

A great hotel but misleading description of the facilities available in the room.

fabulous + loved having a balcony off our room. Had breakfast on a sunny morning. Exceptional staff

Dinner was lovely and a drink in the bar beforehand. What really made it special was Kim who when I asked her to take a photo of us as we had got engaged that day, really went out of our way to make us feel special. After we had finished our meal, we got back to our room and heard a knock on the door. Kim said she didn't realise we didn't have dessert and had brought a plate up especially with Congratulations written in chocolate with decoration and 4 x delicious truffles. She really went above and beyond and made us feel so special.

the gym could of been a bit bigger but wasn't a problem as we are runners and didnt use it.
