We were fortunate to be allocated Room 253 'Agatha' - a large en suite room which has quite some history.
We really enjoyed the dinners in the Victorian splendour of the Wedgwood Room; we had excellent service throughout our stay too.
An easy walk into the centre of the town.
No real downsides; it is a large Victorian hotel with lots of history and tradition. You get what you expect.

The breakfast good. The bed comfortable.
The parking was non existent even though the day before arrival we had an email from the hotel to say we could reserve a space for £12. but when we got there we were told there was no parking as it was all taken up by an event they were hosting.
The bathroom was tiny, we are talking as small as our cupboard under the stairs at home!
