Convenient to most of the places of Interest that one would want to visit.
The Reception area, which is the first area all visitors go through , could do with a makeover. The carpet looks like it has seen its better days!!

Excellent location within a few minutes walk of cathedral, restaurants and main shopping areas.
Despite central location, once inside the hotel it is quiet and calm inside the rooms - perfect for a restful stay after days of sightseeing and walking.
We didn’t book breakfast but we ended up adding it to our stay and it was worth it - very good buffet selection, large and tastefully decorated eating area including terrace outside.
We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and the choice of food and wine was ample, overall a good value meal.
Room service we used once and it was a prompt and courteous service.
All staff were lovely and friendly, very helpful and really made us feel welcome.
Minor point - housekeeping staff start quite early in the morning and tended to be quite noisy talking loudly outside rooms.

Location as central plus parking (at an additional cost of £16 for 24 hours though)
Bedroom was above the reception area so all the smokers were outside talking loudly plus guests coming and going.
Also of the two high up windows (little to no view) only one would open and that was the only ventilation for the room so it smelt stuffy.
