Location excellent, room middling, Alice Restraunt ran out of menu items by 1pm on a Sunday.

Comfortable bed, reception area, fluffy towels, very nice staff. Could not get into Morse bar but it looked very welcoming. Great location.

Found the decoration overpowering, very high ceilings but no art on the walls. The drainage in the bathroom was terrible to the point of the basin and shower overflowing. Surprised that the mini bar was not stocked unless requested. No view, but had expected that.

room very hot, even with air con. Woken up before 7am with building work outside the hotel: So loud, woke us all up, and it didn’t stop.

A grand hotel, but not perfect.

This is a grand hotel right in the centre of Oxford. It has its own parking, but that’s quite expensive. Steph reception where very polite, but it was all a bit anxious and repetitive. Perhaps which up with New. Interior is grinders exterior. My room was three floors up at the front. it was small, but comfortable. Everything worked, though there was no air-conditioning. Even in winter, this left it a bit warm, so I spent the night with a window open. It made it all a little noisy, and I was still quite tired in the morning. The other hotel facilities consisted of arrange of bars and restaurants. I didn’t try these, but they did look quite grand. Overall, if your budget construction, this is a very grind place for Steve. I’ve asked you about your room with air-conditioning next time though.

With no air-conditioning in the room and a single glazed window, it was both hot stuffy and quite noisy. My room was right in the front and may have been one of the cheaper ones.

Exceptional! We savoured the experience and returned well rested and fresh.

Absolutely stunning hotel! Stunning interior with really beautiful, atmospheric and comfortable lounges. Plenty of space to sit and relax and superb service and attention given by all the staff, who could not do enough to help and ensure we had an exceptional experience staying with you. The room was furnished in a classical style befitting its heritage, yet with all the comforts we could ask for (Nespresso machine in room, huge wall mounted TV screen and very fast wi-fi). The whole Hotel was pristine. We will try the on-site SPA next time.

Nothing to say here - the whole experience was wonderful. (Car parking too expensive for us, so we had to park elsewhere, but not a significant problem).

Good option

The decoration, amenities and location are great.

I’ve asked a drink at the bar, they forgot about it, I waited for 30 minutes and I needed to order it again. Besides the shower gel display was broken so I couldn’t use it during my shower.

Expensive experience with no fair access to spa considering check in time is close to spa closing hours.

I like that the hotel is pet friendly, however, the pet fee is quite high and it doesn’t show up when you book the stay. The reason we booked it was to access the spa, however, it is £20 per hour and you don’t get to use other as the check in is at 3pm and the spa closes at 5pm. The room had a ventilation system which even when turned off makes loud noises and it really did not allow me to have any sleep. Staff is really nice but fees are high and unreasonable.

Luxury stay in the centre of Oxford

A beautiful building in the centre of Oxford. The hotel itself oozes old British lucky which is perfectly fitting for the hotels history and Oxford in general. The room itself was spacious and the hotel bar / lounge was a wonderful place to relax with a classic cocktail. The breakfast was vast and the customer service was great.

It is quite expensive for an overnight stay and you need to pay quite a substantial amount extra if you want to visit the spa area, have parking etc.

Well run if slightly dated hotel

Extremely uncomfortable bed, which sagged badly in the middle. Mattress felt 30 years old.

Old world comfort

Noise from outside fans especially at night. Dog not allowed in restaurant and as not permitted to leave dog alone in bedroom we were unable to eat together. Breakfast quite expensive.

NIce hotel but watch out for the details

The hotel and room were lovely in general. The room was very comfortable - especially the bed. Very clean.

Many little things could have been better to have given an overall improved experience and feel. It took an hour to get a room with a bath, despite pictures showing that, it was not standard. Air con in rooms was cold and unnecessary for December - so instead of walking into to a cosy room - there was a chill. Fridge was not plugged in. The downsides were that for a above average price point, the hotel seemed to do 'ryanair' style add-ons. The spa is £20 per person for guests for example - seemed a cheap upsell approach. Breakfast was extra. The breakfast was nice but whilst providing gluten free toast (a plus) - it was (burnt) and only available on request. Baked beans were 'on request'...It would have been nice to have the food all at once rather than waiting around for items to be delivered to your table. These things just made the experience more grating than needed. On leaving, I felt a bit disappointed rather than wowed. Having these things sorted and it would be 10/10.

Loved the decor and good steak in the Alice Restaurant

The room was a King , one grade up from standard double but was at the back of the hotel with noisy apparatus outside (fans etc). Lousy view…

Good but could do better

Great location. Decor, feel and cleanliness was good. Great breakfast.

Beds not the best. Dinner at the Alice was tasty but over priced (£17 for one scallop!!) and service was just ok. Didn’t order dessert due to it taking 25 minutes to take order and restaurant wasn’t busy.

Très bel hôtel historique

L’accueil était très appréciable, la chambre était confortable. L’emplacement parfait.

Nous avons payé un supplément pour une chambre plus confortable mais malheureusement la vue de la chambre donnait sur les pompes à chaleur. J’aurais apprécié être informée. Le prix me semble déraisonnable.

Nice hotel lovely restaurant good breakfast but rooms not great and so hot.

Great location some nice staff but reception not helpful.

The room was unbearably hot and we did not sleep. This was despite asking reception to fix and then offering only fans to help and these not arriving. Had same problem previously- air con does not work.

Lovely aesthetics and comfort in a great city

The Randolph is such a beautiful hotel, each space (restaurant, bar, reading room etc.) are lovely and atmospheric and very comfortable to get cosy in. The bedrooms are so easy to make yourself at home in and incredibly clean. Plus can't beat how central it was.

The location is fabulous and I really enjoyed my stay.

The view, the room service breakfast the decor. Loved the wellness centre also. Very good massage. We had a very nice tasty in the Alice restaurant. The bar is so stunning.

My only real complaint is that our room was too hot overnight. I woke up a few times.

5 star hote with matching service!

Amazing location, 5 star hotel, beautiful decor, food, service!

Nothing stands out - it was excellent. Our room was cold and we couldn’t change to heat. We had to call down to get a radiator and shut off the thermostat. Besides that - service and hotel were 5 star!

Would definitely consider staying here again on any future visit to Oxford.

Excellent location and generally very comfortable with courteous staff. Car parking very efficient (albeit expensive!)

Food and service in restaurant good (breakfast especially) but would have liked more choice for dinner.
