Lovely stay in the hotel. Food was good, staff friendly.

Was a little noisy from the road

Could have more vegan options for breakfast but overall, pretty good.

We booked a last-minute stay here after reading several positive reviews, but our experience was unfortunately a mixed bag given the £120+ price point for a family room Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist on arrival was polite and helpful. The food at dinner was also quite good. ​ ​The Restaurant service despite the restaurant being quiet, we waited over 30 minutes for our meals—not ideal when dining with two small children. Also charged us an optional service charge which we got refunded. There was no mention anywhere about this. It was only when we looked at the receipt we saw this charge. ​ The shower gel dispenser was completely empty, which was frustrating to discover mid-shower. For the price paid, this could have been checked prior to allocating the room to us. ​The Check-Out felt quite dismissive and rushed. We were simply told to drop the key on the desk and leave—no "How was your stay?", "Thank you for your stay" or warm sign-off. ​Overall, it wasn't a terrible stay, but the lack of attention to detail and cold check-out made it a disappointing one.
