Perfect central location in Abingdon. Everything within walking distance. Very comfortable room and good choice for breakfast. Staff were exceptional.

The rooms are tiny but functional. If you have heavy suitcases and are given a room with a high number, we were 18, brace yourself to lug your suitcase cases up several flights of steps! They were also tight with the sugar sachets which was odd, we had four, two white and two brown. 😅 Beautiful building with an interesting history.
The journey to and from our room with the suitcases, the light from the street lights and the road noise. If you want fresh air, you have to have windows open so letting in traffic noise and light. Breakfast was odd because there was no real vegan choice, just bits and pieces so my friend ordered tomatoes, beans, hash browns and toast and they each came on a separate plate. 😂

I had made the booking for this hotel for an overnight stay during whilst walking the Thames Path with a friend. I booked a twin room via Booking.com. However on arrival I was informed that the hotel had not received that particular requirement from Booking.com and was only able to offer a double room, which in circumstances I had to accept, therefore having to share a double bed with my friend which was not ideal. The hotel staff was apologetic and did offer discount on our booking.
