Close to trams and shopping centres.

Could not fault, from the helpful staff to the homemade breakfast. 5 minutes walk to Southern Cross Station. Would stay again

Nothing really. Hotel did the job for me

The location is excellent, and the accommodation offers great value. We particularly appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the cleanliness of the premises. Its convenience, with numerous restaurants nearby and proximity to all attractions, was a significant plus. We would certainly consider booking here again on our next visit to Melbourne, as it exceeded our expectations.

There was nothing really to point out. The receptionist was not available upon our arrival, which resulted in a brief waiting period. This establishment is a family-operated hotel, and in an effort to maintain low overheads and affordability, Paul and his son are dedicated to preserving its family ownership.

The location is amazingly convenient. It is in the heart of CBD and close to all areas like shopping malls, outlets, restaurants, yarra river, etc! The price of the room provides a great value for money as well considering it is in the CBD area.

The breakfast is struggling every morning. Food runs out quite often. Boiled eggs, brewed coffee and yoghurt are scarce. You can request for more food but it will take ages to be available again. Furthermore, the old guy in the reception always shows a negative attitude towards any additional request even if it has been arranged previously. So, there were two “owners” taking care of the hotel. The younger guy and the older guy. During my check in, i did request for a late check out @ 11 am. The new guy approved it. So, i was happy. Lo and behold, at the day of the check out, @ 10 am, one hour before my extended check out, the old guy opened my hotel room door without knocking and removed the card for the electricity. I was taking a bath to prepare for my check out that time and suddenly, the lights went off. I thought there was a black out. I was thinking, quite strange to have a black out in Melbourne. I decided to check it out. I was not even able to wrap myself with a towel because i was in a little panic mode why the lights went off. When i checked, the old guy was at my doorstep while i was standing completely naked. Good thing i did not step out completely. He told me that the check out was at 10 am when it was documented and i even reconfirmed the night before in the reception with “SHRI”, the hotel attendant, that the check out time noted on the hotel system was at 11 am. What was that commotion then for? Why would that older guy need to do that to me, stepping on my privacy inside my hotel room? Another thing is that, during check in, i requested the younger guy if i can leave my things in the hotel because my flight is still at 11:30 pm. I will be asking them to keep my luggage until like 5 or 6 pm. The younger guy approved that request during check in. Again, lo and behold, during check out, the old guy, upon reiterating that request, told me that that request is not possible and they ain’t doing that stuff for anyone.
