Exceptionally, friendly staff who make you feel so welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed 'heavenly'.
The restaurant food was delicious (particularly my sweets). Yum. Off-street parking was a bonus.
I highly recommend The Fleece. I had a great stay.

Rooms were excellent
Not the hotels fault but the councils dustmen collecting the bins at 5.20am which woke us up.

Room was adequate size, staff were friendly and the pub seemed popular and welcoming. The car park was full when we arrived on Sunday lunchtime but cleared later so we were able to park, which was a bonus.
Let down a little by some details - toilet seat was functioning but clearly broken, shower screen leaked a little water onto the floor. The beds were very soft with a quite obvious dip. For over £100 I would have expected better quality. Breakfast was not included, but was available and we had it. Good quality, but again a little expensive. I know this is not a cheap area though.

The staff were lovely and the breakfast was very good, the location was excellent for us.
The room was disappointing for the money extremely dated with tired furnishings and not very clean.
