This was a beautiful hotel in an amazing country, chosen largely because of its proximity to the Großglocknerstraße. Cows strolled in lovely meadows leading right to the terrace outside our room, which was spacious, modern and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was first class. We were amazed when told they had never had an Australian guest. More fool the Aussies! My wife loves cats and the resident cat, unlike many, was more than happy to be patted. Thanks to all at the Gut Sonnberghof! We wish we had been able to stay longer

Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was phenomenal! They had lots of house made meats, yogurt and honey that were excellent. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but there is another nearby (3 minutes away) restaurant with traditional Austrian food that was also great.
Value was ok, but the spa facilities have limited hours which make it difficult to use the saunas if you are also skiing. We stayed in a suite, which did not include any coffee maker or even small refrigerator which would be a little limiting for a longer stay or with kids where its nice to have food on hand at all times. They have free coffee in the main dining area, but this can be a good distance away depending on your room location.
