The feeling of the old era. The 'old' furniture, the building. The highlight was the breakfast under the frangipani. It was a beautiful setting and I could sit there for hours. The breakfast was full of local varieties and they were so tasty. And in the evening we could have a drink outside and watch the people passing by. And the Graham Greene room! One of my favorite author.
The hotel was a by little bit run down with age even though the charm was still there

Traditional hotel, good room, good location, good breakfast,
Of the four hotels that we stayed in, in Vietnam this was by far the most expensive with the most disinterested staff, Everything felt like too much effort for them. There were adverts for afternoon tea everywhere but it was closed during opening hours, It is a great pity as the building is traditional French colonial style.
