Superb location, everything is eithin walking distance, friendly, helpful staff, every one of them, easy check in, we were upgraded as it was my birthday. I was presented with a birthday cake the morning of my birthday, so kind. Lovely room, serviced daily, good value breakfast, decent gym for a hotel, lovely pool and spa. Visit the King Koi cafe, it was so peaceful. Book street is good to see too.

The staff, to a person, was wonderful. The doormen, the workers at registration, the restaurant employees were very nice and accommodating.
However, the room we reserved wasn't available when we checked in. We didn't mind, but the shower in the room we were given leaked onto the floor badly, and the sheets on one of our beds had crusty brown marks on them, obviously not properly cleaned. When we were moved to our originally-reserved room, which was on the third floor, we were awakened every morning at 6 a.m. by the sounds of restaurant chairs constantly being pulled out and pushed in by breakfast-goers. It was insanely loud. Even louder, however, were the nightly street concerts on Nguyen Hue Street AND Le Loi Boulevard, which on one night didn't end until 11:15 p.m. It sounded like a concert was being performed in the next door room. We got very little sleep during our stay at Royal Hotel Saigon. (The concert noise obviously wasn't the fault of the hotel, but it was part of our experience there and we won't be staying in that part of the city again when we return.)
