We stayed in room 203 for 11 days. It had an excellent view of the water and beach, was very clean and comfortable. We started out in another room, but asked if we could move to a higher floor. Maria took very good care of us and moved us quickly.
The highlight of the Creta Mare is the staff. It was like staying with family. Maria at the front desk was friendly, helpful and cheerful. She always had a smile, including a special greeting for our visiting grandchildren. The two members of the housekeeping crew (sorry, I did not obtain names) were ready to help with anything we needed. They kept the room clean, always had a smile on their faces and loved to interact with our grandchildren when they came to visit.
The hotel has an excellent location. You can walk to the city center and all cafes and restaurants in minutes. We highly recommend visiting the Frenzy Seaside All Day Bar right next door. We ate there every day and were treated wonderfully.
We were treated with so much warmth and hospitality at Creta Mare that we will stay here again the next time we visit.

Location is fabulous, directly across from Skinos Beach and a short walk to shops and restaurants in Plakias. Views from the balcony are lovely. Bed is comfortable and there’s great water pressure.
Very few staff around. We literally didn’t see anyone until we checked out. The hydro massage shower is a great feature, but if you use all the nozzles the bathroom floor ends up flooded due to the half glass shower panel. The beach chairs need updating.

The room is nice, clean, with a nice bed and chairs.
No hot water. We had hot water one day and only between 12 and 16 pm for max. 10
min. So it was not possible to take a shower one after another. The sunblinds are so loud you can not leave the balcony door open for sleep. We tried to solve the water problem but never saw the owner during 4 days.
