The staff was excellent and helped us with the toilet lid flying off, and on my second stay a week later (yes I went back!), my solo room was excellent.
On my second stay, there was some sort of construction going on right above my room most of the day. I had a zoom meeting and went back to the hotel instead of the restaurant so it would be quieter - but it was worse even with my AirPods on my Zoom meeting was invaded with a loud hammer banging on the floor. Of course, it stopped a little later after my meeting.

The location is excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I was surprised that it has such a high score and was disappointed that it didn’t live up to the reviews and photos. It is not particularly well maintained and the communal kitchen is not very nice. Most of the rooms face a busy road. The bed wasn’t comfortable. The room was quite small. I had to request a hair dryer and was told that I needed to return at check out which I think is quite weird given the level and price of the hotel. It feels run down and soulless.
