It is a gorgeous hotel with attention to detail in every aspect. Breakfast was an event daily with beautiful table setting and amazing food. We were the only 2 guests and the staff could not be more attentive.

Casa Legado is a unique and upmarket boutique hotel with approximately 10 individually styled rooms. A great deal of thought has clearly gone into the design, with beautiful artwork and distinctive touches throughout the property. The staff were absolutely brilliant—welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful.

Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by how a private event was handled. On the morning we arrived, the common area—which we needed to walk through to access our upstairs room—was being prepared for an event. When I looked inside, an older woman abruptly asked, “Can I help you? Do you want something?” I explained that we were guests staying at the hotel. Another woman then introduced herself as the owner and explained that approximately 30 people would be attending her baby shower. We had not been informed about this beforehand. When I raised this, she dismissively told us not to worry because it would not bother us. Her attitude came across as arrogant, as though it was her hotel and she could do whatever she wanted, regardless of the paying guests. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable. At around 7:00 am the following morning, staff were already moving around, banging and continuing preparations, which woke us. We left early because the atmosphere was awkward and we felt as though we were in the way. When we returned at approximately 2:00 pm, the event was still taking place. Formally dressed guests filled the common area and obstructed the route to our room. We received uncomfortable looks while trying to pass through, making us feel as though we should not have been there. We quickly changed and left the hotel again. The situation could have been handled so easily. The property consists of two connected houses, and as there appeared to be no other guests staying that night, we could have been accommodated on the other side. This would have given the owner privacy for her function and allowed us to enjoy the peaceful boutique-hotel experience for which we had paid. At the very least, the hotel should have informed us about the event before our arrival. We raised our concerns with the staff, who said they understood.
