Group of friends attending an event at Mercury Bay Arena. Nice and close to shopping centre, beach and short drive to arena.
Some things were a little run down or could be tidied up a little better, eg spraying weeds in paving.

The room was very clean and the kitchen and bathroom were well kept and very clean. The bed had a lovely warm duvet and so was very warm and comfortable. This was a pretty typical motel - not what I would describe as High End but neither was the price high end. It was more than adequate for the one night we needed when passing through the Mount Maunganui overnight.
It took a little while to work out how to get the bedside lights working but it turned out they weren't plugged in properly. There was nothing else that was not met really - maybe 2 Robert Harris coffee sachets would be better for a couple - in our case only one of us drank coffee so it didn't matter and the special coffee sachet was a nice treat - just 1 each would have been better if a couple both wanted to drink coffee
