This may be a Holiday Inn Express and has all the features to be expected of a hotel of this type, but it was outstanding in many ways. The desk staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are of a very high standard. We had better facilities here than in other hotels we stayed in that were supposedly superior. Our room was enormous, super clean and really well equipped. There are hooks!!! and a bath, and, many little features that make a guest feel welcome. This hotel punches above its weight.
It’s a great hotel of its type, but there a few things that make it slightly less than the quality of the rooms would suggest. There is no onsite restaurant, but there were plenty in the area, and one in a Holiday Inn round the corner. The breakfast room is like an IKEA cafe, with food to be collected on a tray and harsh lighting. Having said that, the breakfast was varied and tasty. And it is, after all, an Express.
